Pet care experience
As a kid, I trained my own dog plus two other dogs as a part of a senior project. Since then, I have trained two of my friend's dogs, fostered several dogs and cats, and cared for my friends' pets. Caring for animals is always such a wonderful experience and sitting for Rover is the perfect way for me to care for your pets since my transitory lifestyle keeps me from taking in pets of my own.
Reviews
Ben was very attentive to our little zoo. He kept us updated and was every respectful of our home.
Ben was fantastic with our dogs. He loved all the cuddle time and kept us updated with how everything was going each day. We loved seeing the pictures of the dogs from him
If we could leave 10 stars for Ben we would! We feel so fortunate to have found such a caring and responsible person take care of our fur babies while we were away so we could finally take our much delayed honeymoon and not have to worry. Ben went above and beyond to make sure our kitties were well cared for and kept us informed every step of the way, including taking care of the ants that decided to invade the kitty food as well as rushing one of kitties to the vet (after checking with us first to confirm how to proceed) when she had something happening with one of her eyes, staying overnight with her so he could take her to the vet again first thing in the morning as they requested and giving her her eye medication twice a day. We loved receiving the daily updates on the kitties and their silly antics and seriously couldn’t have asked for anything more. Will certainly be rebooking next time we go out of town! :)
I could not asked for a nicer pet sitter. Communication, pictures, and Ben was also very clean staying at our house. Would definitely invite Ben into our home to watch Oliver again!

I am available for house-sitting and walks, but I do not have the space available to petsit in my own home. For the dogs that I petsit, I feed, medicate, water, and exercise them according to the schedules requested by the owners. For cats, I can feed and water them (and cuddles if they request it). Prefer an in-person meet before agreeing to make sure it's a good match.
Information Ben R. would like to know about your pet
I generally like to know a dog's temperment and if they are aggressive with strangers or other dogs, what their exercise needs are, and what kind of medicine regimens they are on (if any).
A typical day
Activities depend on the breed, training, and temperment of the dog, but I generally like to take the dogs that I care for on 1-3 walks a day that are generally 2-3 miles each. I can bring tennis ball launchers, frisbees, and other toys to play fetch, but I won't do off-leash activities unless we are in an enclosed area I can control or have had extensive training time with the dog.

Availability
I'm mostly teleworking on freelance projects so I'll be available most of the day for pet care and exercise. I usually try to walk once or twice a day. Pet feeding and medicine scheduling are not a problem; the longest I would typically be away on personal errands is 3-5 hours.
