Nothing More Imp't Than Your Dog!
Pet care experience
I've been a dog owner and lover since birth. Currently 35 years old, I've owned, cared for and loved 7 dogs of my own and have spent the better part of my life hanging out and playing with [literally] countless more. I'm familiar and comfortable with all different size, breed, attitude and activity-oriented types of pups. I'm available on a pretty much 24/7 basis to help you and your family out with walking, playing, feeding, overnight & longterm care and whatever else you may need. Throughout my years as a dog owner, I've cared for dogs ranging from the youngest of pups through til our beloved pets dying days. As such, I'm familiar with the behaviors and needs associated with dogs of all ages and am comfortable catering to them, whatever your dogs specific needs may be. I'm a dog person to the very core, and that should pretty much say it all right there.

Information Bary J. would like to know about your pet
I'd like to know, in advance, the breed, age, baseline activity level, if there are any aggressive tendencies [whether on a regular basis or that may be triggered by other things like animals, children, unknown adults, loud noises, vehicles, and so on], any allergies to foods or things we may encounter when walking, if the dog has any favorite places to play/walk, if he or she is social/safe/comfortable around other dogs, general overall habits, emergency contacts [vet, etc.], type of leash used, whether their diet is strict or not-so-much, and any other pertinent information that a dog sitter should know, I guess [to me, dog sitting is as serious a responsibility as babysitting, so that should clear up any other questions].
A typical day
From personal experience I know that every dog has its own unique personality, and that generally helps in figuring out and planning the types of walks and activities each pup prefers. I know dogs can get bored of the more urban parts of suburban Westchester County, so I like to find out-of-the-way spots that offer a great alternative for extra fun adventure. I know [most] dogs love the ocean [with all it's scents and ocean breezes, sandy play areas, etc.] and so that's one of my top go-to locations for a great walk [and work-out!]. Aside from the sea shore, there are great woodsy/walking trails all throughout the county [Leatherstocking, etc.], and a great hidden gem I happened across once was the campus of Manhattanville College ~ it's basically a dog [and dogwalkers] dream play space...and conveniently located, at that. When we go out on walks, I always make sure to bring a few of the doggy's favorite toys [tennis balls are a no-brainer, but Kong toys [with a little peanut butter treat inside], sticks, chew toys and what have you work as well. Of course, I never forget to bring along plenty of water and waste bags.
