All Paws Welcome 🐾

Pet care experience

Hi! We are Ashley and Molly, the biggest animal lovers you’ll ever meet! We have experience with all kinds of animals as we've both had them since we were babies. A huge amount of our experience comes from looking after family pets -cats and dogs from Dobermans to Dachshunds. We have a cocker spaniel puppy named Tess as well as 5 cats and 2 bunnies. We've also recently kept rats who were an absolute delight, as well as a bearded dragon when younger. We are competent with puppy training, basic dog grooming, and we can also offer nail clips for cats, dogs and rabbits, but would need your consent to this in advance. We have had to administer medicine via tablet many times over the years so we are also able to do this.

We were so nervous about leaving our dog with people we don’t know. He can be a little nervous and a bit bossy with other dogs but Ashley and Molly were amazing! Kept us updated, seemed to love our dog like he is their own. Wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again!

My doggies all have different requirements and you’ve been absolutely amazing with them. Understanding all their different needs, like you’ve known them for ages. They all love you to bits. Thank you. x

Ashley and Mollie looked after my handful of terrier paddy on very short notice. They quickly squeezed in a meet and greet and were happy to have him for a weekend evening. Communication was great throughout. I'll definitely use them again and will happily recommend to friends and family.

Highly recommend them. I left my pup with them for 5 days and I constantly received so many photos🥰 My pup was definitely enjoying the time with them, which also made my holiday more relaxing❤️ They’re so lovely, truly love animals, and had great communication. I’d definitely book them again next time🥰

Our cats are quite chilled and won’t bother with your dog, if your dog is triggered/likes to chase cats then the cats stay on their own floor in the house with a baby gate and closed door. Our house is over three floors so with the cats on the top floor, there’s still plenty of room for our visitors to hang about where they’d like. The stairs are however all baby gated so we can keep a close eye. We don’t believe pets should be kept off furniture so everything is fair game! If you’d prefer us not to allow them on the sofa/bed, please let us know in advance so we can keep them down, but we would prefer not to – your pet is on holiday too! We have a fully fenced garden, which is always accessible. The double doors are rarely closed and lead straight into the front room which is where we work from. We have a range of paddling pools , cooling mats and sprinklers for those hot summer days. We have plenty of experience with all types of pets. We had our own rat and rabbit family for several years and our vet is also savvy with exotics in case we need emergency trips. We are very aware of what to look out for with rats and rabbits and know how important it can be to get to the vet ASAP.

Information Ashley W. would like to know about your pet

Let us know where your pet prefers to sleep – we have a spare room with a double bed and laminate flooring, our kitchen is available and there is always our bed for those pampered pets! Tess is crate trained and stays in her crate most nights so she won’t be free roaming around your pet. We do have a petcam in case your pooch would prefer to sleep elsewhere, which notifies us of any sound or movement so we can keep a close eye. In terms of feline friends, we know it can be extremely stressful for cats to be away from home. We have a designated room for our cats with everything they could possibly need, and your cat won’t be treated any differently. The spare room has plenty of hiding places, and we do also have a petcam so we can check they are eating and toileting. There’s also a windowsill with some lovely views of birds, this also offers some lovely sunbathing spots! We do use wood pellet litter for our cats, if your cat would prefer something else, please provide this when dropping off. We ask that you provide us with your pet’s food and confirm what kind of treats they like, as well as any allergies or intolerances. It would also help if you could let us know of any training your dog has so we can keep their brains entertained! We have plenty of puzzle feeders, snuffle mats and other enrichment toys to keep them ticking over. We do ask your confirm if your dog is recall trained and knows any basic commands too. When dropping your pets off, we would ask you bring - Their food and any treats (we will supply treats too) - Any toys they absolutely love - Blanket with the smell of home on - Bed if your pet prefers their own bed - Litter for cats who will not use wood pellets - Litter for small furries - Change of bedding for small furries (we have straw and hay available) - Collars/harnesses - Collar with a legal tag on - Lead - Any specialist shampoo if your dog isn’t ok with Bugalugs - Home for small furries – rats, hamsters etc - Any medication, including flea or worming treatment if needed during stay You don’t need to provide - Poo bags – we have plenty! - Wipes/towels - A huge amount of toys. A few is ok!

A typical day

Our dog walks depend on the dog. We can do as little or as long as they require, please make sure you let us know in advance what your dog’s capabilities are with walking. We can offer up to an hour in the morning, half an hour at lunch and over an hour in the evenings, weekends and bank holidays sometimes feature trips to the beach or Lake District if your pooch is ok in the car. We live close to both open and secure fields. We visit secure fields at least once a week with Tess, so even if your dog isn’t able to be off lead whilst on their everyday walks, they get the opportunity to have a big run around without the worry of them getting loose. We do also attend a ‘small dogs’ group on a Sunday, and a spaniel meet on a Saturday which is in a 2.5 acre field. Let us know if your dog would be happy coming along too! We live near a few parks and there are many walking routes in our local area that are dog friendly. Let us know how your dog is in the car for weekend trips to the beach.

We both work from home on alternate days so someone is always in the house. We rarely have to leave a pet in our home alone, but it is always under an hour if needed, and will be in a room separate from our pets. There is always the option of TV or the radio if this would help keep your pet calm. If your pup is crate trained then we do have a small and a large crate available, if not then our kitchen and spare room are both available. We have plenty of spare blankets too! Our life revolves around our own pets. They are our number one priority and come before everything else.
