Pet care experience
I grew up with dogs and have always loved them. I had a pitbull when I was a small child, and a shi-poo and Australian Shepherd/Collie cross throughout my teens and early adulthood. I also have two rescue cats and a rescue chinchilla at home so I have a lot of animal care experience. I currently have full availability during the days, and my evenings and weekends are also generally free. I've always wanted a dog of my own but live in a duplex and cannot provide the space needed for them so a job like this is perfect for me. It is also an opportunity for me to get some exercise as an added bonus.

As always, Angele went above and beyond. I cannot say how lucky we are to have Angele caring for our 3 cats when we are away. We always feel that our cats are well taken care of and safe. I would absolutely recommend her if you are looking for a responsible, trust-worthy and kind person to care for your animals :)

This is an updated review from my first review. Angele has been my go to care taker while I’m away. Up to date, I’ve had her services 5 times and each time I’ve had the best service I could ask for. Among the 5, Angele has been consistent, adaptive, and considerate in her work and I honestly can’t see myself finding anyone else to come in. Thank you Angele for making this a breeze to deal with!
We can always count on Angele for her reliability and attention to details. Our cats are always in excellent hands when we go away, and this gives us extra peace of mind.

With my own pets and with pets that I care for, I have learned to be very careful with doors. Cats especially are very curious about the outdoors so I am very cautious about where they are while I am entering and leaving their home. Additionally, for animals that are more shy and timid around people, I use a gentle tone when speaking to them as well as a lot of patience and it usually enough to get them to come out of their shell.

I don't know a lot of specific breeds of dogs so I can't say I really have a breed preference. I would just ask that if your dog has any behavioural or food related issues, that I be notified asap.
A typical day
While I don’t typically care for dogs because my only available service is drop-in visits, the one dog I do care for regularly loves having his toys thrown around in the backyard.

I have my own two cats that I care for on a daily basis. With animals that are left in my care, it is uncommon to have a set time to care for them so I am able to fit them into my schedule with ease.
