Exp Daycare,Overnights+Walks

Pet care experience

DogSafe First aid certified. Neighbors, friends and family have relied on me to care for their pets since I was a teenager. I also have experience working at a Dog Daycare which at times reached over 100 dogs. Walks, feeding, medications and overnights are my specialties. I currently work in a dog daycare and look after my Shiba Inu for most of the week. However, I enjoy hanging out with dogs so much that I'd also like to fill my free time with walks or sitting as well. Usually my Mon and Thurs and sometimes Fri are available. My home has a gate installed to prevent escapes, access to the kitchen/front door and unprepared visitors. 3 parks are within walking distance for exercise and bio breaks. I can keep dogs separated on different floors if they do not get along. For client homes I will respect all of their expressed wishes and treat their home as if I were a guest.

Andrew truly cares about animals and their well being. He is the most reliable person for pet care and understands animals and their individual needs. He has experience in working with dogs who require medical attention and his gentle approach is unparalleled. As well, Andrew is trustworthy and professional. I have seen him work with several types of dog breeds they all enjoy spending time with him. Whether it’s walks, overnights, or dropping in he is the person to call. Thank you for being attentive and treating our animals with care. You are very dependable and the dogs have so much fun with you!

Andrew goes above and beyond in every task he does. He is the ultimate dog lover. He has experience with the smallest yorkie to the largest mastiff. His working with over 70 dogs at a time is no joke. He maintains his calm and treats each dog as his own. If you are looking for someone patient he is your guy. Some of the dogs he has worked with have serious health and disability issues. Andrew feeds and administers medication on overnight shifts. I can’t really say enough about his kindness and responsible way. He is the only one I would trust my dogs with. He is especially skilled working with older, disabled and reactive dogs.

Information Andrew W. would like to know about your pet

I would need to know any health concerns and allergies. If they have meds or special feeding, I would prefer detailed instructions. Vaccinated status and if they are fixed. Emergency Contacts and vet info. Also the temperament of the dog with humans and other dogs. Any training info such as house broken, puppy pads, recall or games they might want to play.

A typical day

I like to take dogs out on hikes if possible. If they are staying with me or dropped off, there are several great wooded parks just outside my door. Local parks are my go to for walks and exploration but if none are nearby I can still plan a fun adventure using google maps. For elder and disabled dogs I'll gauge their energy level and plan for lower impact activities or toys.
