Pet care experience
I was a volunteer for dogs without home program in Panama. In the past 2 years I have raised my brother's puppy, potty trained her and taught her to be an all people lover. I have been a dog owner all my life. I am a Canadian who has lived abroad for the most part of her life. I returned to Canada to be a part time student starting on Fall 2018. Because I am new to Canada I have a lot of free time, I am looking to spend it with something that passionates me, doggies do. I have full availability to take care of your furry friend. I love some fresh air and doggies love it too!. I would like to spend most of the time outside playing and running. I know that having a dog is like having a baby. Your dog will be safe with me as if she/he were mine.
Reviews
Andrea is very professional and trustworthy. We are so glad to have found her, our Hanna was well taken care of and we were able to have a great experience. Fully recommended!
Andrea was amazing with Lucy. From the moment we brought Lucy over, I could tell she felt at ease with Andrea. During the four days we were away, she was incredibly communicative and flexible and made us feel totally at ease leaving our girl with her. Would definitely book her again!
Andrea was great!! Having never used Rover before I wasn't sure what to expect but Andrea quickly calmed my nerves with her bubbly personality and genuine love for animals. My two dogs were in the best of hands for the weekend. Andrea provided me with pictures and video updates that I really appreciated.
Andrea seems like a good person, I don't doubt the other reviews on her profile. She was very communicative and sent pictures, including when she informed me after my dog had been attacked by one of her neighbours cats - despite clear instructions that my dog cannot interact with other animals and has been repeatedly subject to injuries in the past, due to negligence of the people who were responsible to look after her in my absence. The Vet informed me that it was in fact a cat bite in Lily's right forearm that most likely cause the infection and buildup in her elbow joint, which has drastically limited her ability to walk and is causing constant pain and discomfort, including a fever. There were multiple puncture wounds in her face, forehead, neck and right arm - Andrea did inform me that she tried to clean the wounds, but no attempts were made to have it looked at by a Vet. I overbooked Lily by a day for a $300 stay and gifted Andrea a bottle of wine from my vacation, minutes before finding out that my dog was unable to walk more than a couple of blocks and had a golf ball sized lump on her right knee joint, with a VERY visible limp. My dog did not even greet me when we were reunited and I knew something was off. In addition to the $300 and gift, I am out of pocket $224 + any follow up Vet visits for medications. Rover is claiming no responsibility and will not even consider a claim if my vet bills are under $250. This was a terrible experience and I will not be using Rover again in the future. As good as a person Andrea may be, she failed Lily, as many others have in the past and created so much stress, worry and financial impact to me personally.
