I am a well-established animal shelter employee who has worked with dogs and cats for 8+ years in the Philadelphia area. (Professional and personal references available upon request!) I have fostered 40+ pets in my home with all manner of medical and behavioral needs. I do not have an educational background in animal medicine, but I have learned a lot of skills working in the rescue world (such as giving insulin injections). If your pet is special needs, we should talk! I am offering in-home boarding services to cats and/or dogs from one household at a time. I have two resident cats who are friendly to other pets (and up to date on vaccines/flea preventative), but they are able to be kept separate if your fur baby doesn't enjoy their company, or if you request it for any reason. I live in a larger (4 bedroom/3 bathroom) home with two other cat- and dog-experienced adults and no children. Your pet will never interact with other people or animals unless you give permission. *During COVID-19 restrictions, your pet will not be permitted to meet anyone outside of the house. We have a small concrete rowhome-style yard, walled-in and very private, which has a dog "potty box" with small stones and a little grass. This yard is safe for under-vaccinated puppies. Cats and kittens will remain indoors only unless leash & harness trained / stroller is provided. Your pet will have a blast while you're away with plenty of toys, soft blankets, snuggles, and plenty of walks and exercise (wand toy play for cats). You can trust that in my care, your pet will be safe, well cared for, and of course loved!
