Pet care experience
Hello! My name is Amber. I work from home 2-3 days a week and lead an active lifestyle with lots of running and walking. I began offering petcare services via Rover in January 2022, since then I’ve worked with many pets of varying age, size and breed. I also have experience with horses, cats, tortoises and other small animals from owning these pets myself and in addition to working at a stables. I am based closed to Tooting Common, in rented accommodation with a garden, and may be able to board your pet at my own home however please reach out to me to discuss this in advance. Generally, I prefer to take care of animals in their own home as I find them to be more settled and relaxed. Although I don’t have animals of my own, I enjoy having the opportunity to take care of other people’s pets via Rover. I mainly sit for fun and for supplemental income on top of my full time job, I am flexible on cost and cancellation. Your pets happiness and safety are paramount to me, my goal is to create a stress free and fun environment for all involved. I know how nerve wracking it can be to leave your beloved pet with a stranger which is why I will always send you pictures and updates throughout the day of your furry friend. We loved our experience with Amber, she was taking care of our two cats; she kept us updated, took a lot of pictures of our kitties so we could see how they are and how they feel. Also, she was really vigilant regarding house itself, noticing that we had power cut and addressed it immediately. How was immaculate clean when we returned and cats were medium happy to see us back instead of Amber, so she clearly did great job. We cannot recommend Amber enough and we will be contacting her in the future to look after our pets again.

This can be especially difficult when I work from home and have housemates. I am willing however to take on pets on a case by case basis if you would prefer that I do not take care of them from your own home. Please reach out to discuss this and potentially arrange a short trial in advance of the sit. I have housesat many times before and will always ensure I leave your home exactly as I find it. Please let me know the following about your pets when making a booking request: - How many pets I will be required to take care of and what kind of animal they are; - Whether your pets are house trained and/or have any special needs; - For dogs I will need to know how they behave on a lead and with other dogs. As a rule of thumb, I do not let the dogs i’m sitting off lead; - For longer sits, please let me know if your pets can be left alone and if so how long for. For example, would I be able to leave your pet home for an hour whilst I go to the gym? I understand many pets have anxiety and this may not be possible.
A typical day
I love walking and getting my steps in everyday so enjoy having a dog to walk and take out with me. After work and at the weekends, I enjoy taking pets out to meet friends (if owners are happy for me to do so) as well as spending lots of time playing with and cuddling them!

Availability
I am able to petsit on the 2-3 days that I work from home in the week as well as at the weekend. I can be flexible on the days I work from home to accommodate your booking request - feel free to reach out and we can discuss what would work for you. I am able to walk your pets before 9am, during my 1 hour lunch break and after 5pm with plenty of time in between to pay them attention and give them cuddles. On the weekend, I am available 24/7 to walk and care for your pets. Unless otherwise discussed and agreed with the owners I do not leave pets unattended at any point during the sit.
