Hello! I'm Amanda, and I have cherished dogs as part of my family for as long as I can remember. Over 20 years ago, I began caring for animals for friends and family, and my reputation grew through word of mouth. Joining Rover allowed me to expand my services, and I have since had the pleasure of raising dogs from puppyhood to their golden years. My experience extends to caring for dogs with diverse needs, including those with seizure disorders, diabetes, allergies, and specific dietary requirements. I've had the joy of looking after various breeds, ranging from chihuahuas to Great Danes, and many more in between! In addition to pet sitting, I offer professional bath services, de-shed maintenance, and a thorough brush out, so your furry friend can come to play and leave smelling fresh and clean! I'm also dedicated to advancing my skills and am currently in the process of attending school to become a certified dog trainer in obedience, problem-solving, and behavior modification. I'm always eager to share my knowledge during our meet and greet, should you have any questions about your dog's behavior.

I have two dogs, and one can be pretty difficult. She doesn’t get a long with other dogs very well, and she is also high anxiety. Amanda brought them into her home and treated them as one of her own. I got pic updates and stories while I was gone. My dogs were happy and well cared for while they were there. She communicates amazingly well. I would recommend her to anyone no matter the needs of the dog.

This setup ensures a safe environment for your pet to enjoy. I understand the importance of building trust between your dog and me and my family. For new dog clients, I typically request a meet and greet to establish a sense of familiarity and ease. However, I recognize that this may not always be feasible, and I'm flexible in handling such situations on a case-by-case basis. During mealtimes, all dogs are separated to ensure all aspects of their stay remain stress free. While I cannot accommodate "free feeding," I am able to offer small, frequent meals to meet the unique needs of each dog in my care, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay for your furry friend.

A typical day
A typical day for your dog in my care is filled with an array of engaging and stimulating experiences. We love exploring the neighborhood during leisurely walks, and we often venture onto nearby trails to enjoy the fresh air. Our routine includes fun dog games, engaging puzzles, and plenty of toys to keep your furry friend occupied and entertained. Additionally, your dog will have the opportunity to socialize and play with new furry friends, or simply enjoy a relaxing nap on the couch. For mental stimulation and enrichment, I offer puzzle toys and brain exercises, ensuring that your dog's mind and body stay active and content throughout the day. If outdoor activities are not possible, we can tailor the day's activities to stay within the security of the backyard, accommodating the preferences of each client.

My husband and I both work remotely, ensuring that when your dog is with us, they become a cherished part of our family. They have full access to our house, engaging in playtime with both my own dogs and our children, who are aged 9 and 11. It's essential for your dog to feel comfortable around kids during their stay with us.
