the kind of care your pets deserve
Pet care experience
While you are at work, away on a business trip, or vacationing, I am more than happy to care for your pets. There is no question that my love of caring for "man and woman's best friend" is genuine. I understand the needs and wants of not only what our furry friends have but also their owners as well. My name is Amanda G and I am 29 years old. I am Deaf and my parents' tongues are American Sign Language (ASL). I communicate effectively with all individuals via written English—this does not interfere with my abilities to care for pets whatsoever. I've owned and raised a dog of my own for more than thirteen years. Two years ago, I rescued a Deaf dog, Mika. I also owned and raised rabbits and lizards in the past. I've pet-sat for friends and family for several years now and I understand animals aren't just pets, but members of the family. You won't have to worry while you're away I will make sure your furry friend stays happy and healthy. I will also keep your house tidy and spotless. I'm an active easy going person with high energy. Although I consider myself to be high energy, I am also very patient and understanding. This really is important and means that I am not afraid to comfort and cuddle with your pet if s/he is feeling down. In addition, I love going out for a walk with my baby, Mika even does fun outdoor activities. Love and affection is extremely important to give a pet but so is rules and boundaries, true love is accomplished by letting the pet know that they have nothing to worry about. When in my care your best friend will become my best friend as well, giving them the ability to really cut lose. Give your pet a nice vacation too, whether for business or pleasure everyone deserves to relax. I would love to get the opportunity to work with you. I offer a complimentary meet and greet before your booking to become acquainted with you and your pets. This meet and greet is beneficial to ensure I am the right fit for you and your pets. I look forward to meeting you and your pets. ***I do accommodate pets that require special care due to age, chronic illnesses, post-surgical recovery, and/or other medical reasons. I will treat your pets as my own and greatly understand the importance of your pets' needs. With me, your pets are in gentle, caring, and experienced hands! My experience administering medication: I am very comfortable in administering medications due to past experiences with my dog, such as using an inhaler, giving pills (by mouth, in food, pocket pills, etc.), administering cream in the ears or on the body, eye/ear drops, etc. Note: I do not have experience at this time with administering injections, however, I am willing to learn if you teach me! Don't hesitate and start booking your requests.
Reviews
Amanda was amazing with our animals. Both of our dogs suffer from separation anxiety and Amanda was wonderful with them. She was very communicative and punctual. I will definitely book with Amanda again!
Amanda walked our two dogs for a week. She was very punctual, communicative, and flexible to the extent her schedule allowed. She has a great energy and obvious love and patience for animals. Very glad to have had her help!
Amanda did a great job taking care of Lily. I would definitely use her again.
Amanda was amazing! We really appreciated the constant updates on every visit. Always made us feel Melo was in good hands.

Information Amanda G. would like to know about your pet
It’s necessary to know about any special needs your pets may have, ranging from dietary restrictions to behavioral concerns. I am very accommodating, and with your help, will provide the best care possible for special needs. Please include the following in your care instructions and/or inquiry: - Allergies (food/environmental) - Toy or treat restrictions - History of destructive behavior - History of reactivity (such as barking/lunging on leash, guarding food or toys, or uncontrollable excitement) - History of separation anxiety In case of an emergency, I would like to have your veterinarian's contact information (name, phone numbers, address) on hand.
A typical day
I love to go on walks where the dog(s) can exercise body and mind. Here's where we'll take our walks: I am always visiting different trails in the area - if your dogs like that, I'll be more than happy to bring them along! I enjoy early morning and evening strolls around the neighborhood. If your dogs prefer quiet areas, there are plenty of other routes available to suit their needs. Your dogs will get a lot of exercises, which makes for tired but happy dogs at the end of the day! Depending on your dogs, we can play tug of war, fetch, go swimming, or on a hike. During our time together, your dogs will enjoy hikes and adventures around the local parks as well as games of fetch and tug-o-war. Treats are always included :) (With your permission of course.) That being said, I appreciate the desire to live vicariously through your dog, which is why I will always share pictures with my clients of my visits with their best friends.
