Dogs, cats or HORSES!
Pet care experience
**If possible, please message me prior to booking. My availability calendar is completely open since my schedule is variable. Many previous obligations are flexible!** I have owned and loved dogs most of my life! In college, I worked on a horse breeding farm and was a horse owner for over 10 years, so I’m not afraid of weather or cold and I’m a hard worker. I offer a flexible daytime schedule and am available for walks, drop ins, etc. I also have extensive horse and farm care experience and would be open to watching your equine friends or farm animals while you’re away. I worked my way thru college on a breeding farm whose owners would typically travel out of the country for months. I was also a horse owner for 10yrs, but unfortunately my gelding needed put down this past summer. I am comfortable administering meds(oral or IM), feeding, turning out, blanketing, mucking stalls, etc!
Reviews
Amanda was so sweet, communicative, and is clearly great with dogs :)
Excellent service. We got lot of feedback and pictures. She went beyond expectations.
Amanda is such an amazing pet sitter! We adopted a dog, Bach, from our local shelter almost 2 years ago. He came from a pretty traumatic situation, and is very hard to trust people. Hence, we’ve found it very difficult to travel, or work long days away from home as we can’t be sure he will allow anyone else to care for him. We’ve been working with Amanda for several weeks now to help open our guy up to this new experience of trusting others. She has been so understanding and kind throughout this process of finding a new friend. She is observant and intuitive when it comes to his body language and behavior. She understands exactly how to handle his anxiety, and approach’s him with the patience and expertise of a truly experienced animal guardian. Shes also just a lovely person. I would recommend Amanda to anyone needing a trusted pet sitter and friend.
Thank you for being available last minute and taking great care of our pups!

Safety, trust & environment
Keeping your pets safe is my greatest priority. I will ensure their collars/harnesses and leashes are in good condition prior to their walks. I will also refrain from allowing them to interact with other dogs that they don’t know while in my care. You can never be too careful when meeting new dogs and I would hate for an altercation to happen while your pet is with me. If your dog is over 15lbs, please have a standard leash to use.
Information Amanda F. would like to know about your pet
Knowing typical leash behavior, particularly when passing other walkers or pets is always helpful. I’m fine with leash aggression/etc. I just want to keep your pet safe as well as those around us. Commands/releases are also helpful, as well as the best way to get and maintain your baby’s attention should we find ourselves in a less than desirable situation.
A typical day
We’ll go for a walk at minimum. If you have puzzle toys that need set up and used, I’m happy to do that as well. We can play ball or fetch if you dog has a good recall or you have a fenced in yard. Grooming and bathing as well as shed clean up (running a sweeper around the crate/grabbing tumbleweeds) available at an additional fee

Availability
I work part time as a labor and delivery nurse from 3pm-3am, so I have availability during the week and most weekends. My available days may not always be the same, but I know my work schedule about 2 months ahead of time.
