Pet care experience
I've loved, owned and cared for many animals during my childhood including: dogs, cats, hamsters, guinea pigs and rabbits. In adulthood, I've gained 2 years of experience as an Animal Care Technician in an animal shelter. While in this position I cared for animals of most species, medical and behavioral impairments. I've cared for newborn kittens, given medication to bearded dragons, carefully worked with dogs with food aggression and everything you can imagine in between. I am knowledgeable about the needs of elderly animals, and young ones. I'm physically able to handle the care required of large breeds and those with special needs. I currently have three cats and one dog that I absolutely adore. I hope to spread that love to the animals in your family.

Safety, trust & environment
As a former Animal Care Technician I was trained on the premises of the Five Freedoms. These are ethical considerations and guidelines for animal care that I wholly abide by. Furthermore, I am Fear-Free certified and wholeheartedly believe in consent within animal care. This means that I will not push your animal beyond their limits, and I will make every effort possible to make them more comfortable if certain actions must be taken (like administering medication).
Information Allyson F. would like to know about your pet
I’d like to know how the dog handles meeting new people and dogs, as that will determine where we go for walks and playtime. I’d also like to get an idea of their baseline behaviors so that I know when something is a bit off.
A typical day
Long walks through town and the greenway will be coupled will lots of belly rubs and scratches. We can play fetch or tug of war and snuggle when we’re tuckered out.
Services
