Pet care experience
Hello! We are Allison and Kyle and we'd love to open up our home to your pets! We have a wonderful single family home with a front yard and side dog run ready to host your little best friends for overnights or day care! Kyle works from home and will spend the day with your pup - frequent potty breaks out side, time to wander the fenced in yard and walks based on what your dog is used to. We are the dog parents of Joni, a 6.5 year old, 5.5 lb, toy poodle mix and Rex, a 1.5 year old border collie/lab mix. If you choose to use our daycare services, Rex will not be home as he goes to a separate daycare for big dogs. Rex will be home during the evenings and weekends. We're a warm little family who love having furry visitors in our home that is just a block from the 405 ramp in a lovely little neighborhood in Culver City. We're primarily pet sitting so Joni can enjoy the company of other dogs during the day, and because we LOVE animals! We honestly wish we could have more dogs but for now, just want to have guests. We know how great it is to have the piece of mind that your pet is being cared for by experienced dog owners in a home environment, and having a fellow fur buddy to show them the ropes is an added bonus. Our dog Joni gets along with ALL dogs, big or small, she will enjoy some play with a smaller dog, and knows how to hold her ground with a bigger dog too. She adores the company and we've had great success opening up our home to others. We stay nice and active on the weekends but also enjoy cuddles and play time in the house after our long walks. We have a TON of experience administering medication, we are patient and compassionate, and love getting to know dogs of all ages, shapes and sizes. We have flexible work schedules and can accommodate your dogs schedule with ease. We promise to treat your pet as our own!

Allison is an outstanding sitter! She was accommodating and thoughtful, making sure she knew exactly what our dogs like, eat, etc., and sent us so many pictures while we were away. She really treated our dogs like her own - we couldn’t have been happier!
Allison, Kyle and Joni were great! They were accommodating, sent lots of photos, and based off of how tired Levi was when he got home, I’ll take it he had a great time. Will definitely use them again!

I'd like to know if the dog has ever been around small dogs before, as Joni is a toy breed and we want to make sure your dog is comfortable with that. I'd also like to know how your dog does on walks -- do they need to avoid interactions with other dogs? Do they run at squirrels/birds/etc? Do they require medicine or have any chronic health ailments? I don't have any breed preferences, but would need the dog to be able to handle being in a house without disrupting neighbors. While we do have a great space that can comfortably house multiple pets, a high energy dog that is a large breed might not be as happy in our space.
A typical day
We live in Culver City and love taking neighborhood walks. We'll walk around our neighborhood, allow the dogs some outdoor free play time in our yard, visit dog parks if that is something your dog has experience doing, and play in the house with a bunch of toys. We love practicing our basic obedience tricks for treats and also a good afternoon snuggle. We are comfortable with having dogs in all rooms of our house, and have a big king size bed if that is what your dog is used to. We also have some additional dog beds and can work with your dog if they require a crate for bed/nap time. We have a spare bedroom where the crate could be put, or ample living room space -- whatever your dog is used to, we'll make sure they receive the same treatment at our place!
