Alexis Pet Sits
Pet care experience
I have had dogs in my family since the day I was born. Into my teenage years, I have been my family's and family friends' go-to person for caring for their pets when they are out of town. I have one cat, and although this has been my first as a pet, I have taken care of family friend's cats. I love dogs and cats of every shape and size, and I am fully aware that each animal has its own personality and specific, individual needs. No two animals are the same. I promise I will treat your pet as if they are my own, and I always look forward to making a new furry friend.
Reviews
Alexis is my go-to when I need a sitter for my dog. She is reliable and extremely trustworthy. My dog knows her by name and looks forward to play dates! I highly recommend!!!
Alexis is an incredible, loving, caring owner of Oscar, an amazing cat. Oscar has happiness and longevity due to her meticulous and passionate supply of nutrition, attention, and medical knowledge. She has shown equal responsibility in the care of my three Bearded Collie girls of 3,4 and 6 years of age. There's no one better!
Alexis has been surrounded by pets her entire life and is very trustworthy and responsible. She treats your pets with love, protection and kindness. I would never leave my dogs with anyone other than her. She’s reliable, sends pictures and videos and makes my time away so much easier knowing she’s taking care of them. ❤️

I have a 4 year old incredibly social, friendly cat named Oscar. He loves to be picked up, held and to cuddle...although I am fully aware this is not the case for all cats! He is medium-haired, and I brush his hair and teeth weekly. I also taught him several tricks! He knows spin, sit, paw, high five, stand and touch (my personal favorite-he rubs his face against yours!). I walk him around the neighborhood in his stroller which he loves, but I do not allow him out of the house otherwise. Also, I live seconds away from my family who has 3 Bearded collies named Harper, Sloane and Summer. I see them daily and basically consider them to be my own because of how much time I spend with them. We walk the dogs together daily (weather permitting) and I help with brushing them out weekly (they have VERY long coats!). We have a family business where we bring the dogs with to work as well. My family and I also both have Furbo dog cameras setup to keep an eye on the dogs and cat when we are not home, but we do not enjoy leaving any of them for several hours or long periods of time. If we have to, we will have someone check in on them. Before I quit my longtime full time job, I brought Oscar to work with me every single day since he was a kitten. We treat our family pets as if they are human children and feed them the absolute best diets that we believe in.

Information Alexis J. would like to know about your pet
It is important for me to know what, if anything, scares your dog and what to do should we encounter this, how they interact with others dogs if we were to see them on a walk, what your dog's dietary needs are, if they are aggressive, and anything else you think will ensure both mine and your animal's safety.
A typical day
We walk our family dogs daily in both mine and my parents neighborhoods. Since there are 3 dogs, we prefer my neighborhood (which is just across the street) because it tends to be a little quieter and less busy...and 3 dogs can be a lot! All the girls have been to puppy school when they were little and we also have taken them to "barn hunt." As far as dogs I have watched, I love playing with them and walking them as instructed. I also enjoy lounging around with an older dog if that's what they prefer! I leave it up to the owner and the animal to tell me what they want to do, and I am happy to do just that.

I recently quit my full time corporate job of 10 years to focus on things that bring me joy, and that includes animals! I am pretty much always available and am extremely responsive. You will never have to worry about not hearing back from me, my attention to detail, or my promptness. And don't be surprised if you receive a photo of your pet from me. My photo album is filled with over 10,000 photos of dogs and cats....literally!
