I am a huge dog-lover and have been dog-sitting for friends and family for my entire life. I have a huge soft-spot in my heart for animals; dogs top the list! I couldn't imagine life without them and I live close to both Alamo Square Park and Golden Gate Park where I can walk and run with any type of dog! I live in a very safe neighborhood and in a building that accepts and welcomes our furry friends - not to mention a fenced-in backyard for any quick pee and poop needs. About this sitter: I am a full-professionals in the Digital Advertising industry. I work from home 3-4 days a week and have an extremely flexible schedule, which makes it perfect for dog-sitting. I often get lonely as well, so having a fur-baby companion for lunchtime walks and overall companionship is always welcome. Why I love dog sitting I have been a dog-lover my whole life. I grew up with cats (which I also love too), but I have always yearned to be a dog-owner! Since I live in San Francisco, where spaces are small, I have made the conscious decision to solely be a dog-sitter for the time being, until I get that house one day that has a yard and plenty of space for my pooch to roam. Meet my pets I have a sweet kitty named Midori who loves most dogs. Any dog she feels threatened by, she will just hide under our bed and it has never been an issue whatsoever! Most dogs don't even know she's here. About my yard I have a fenced-in backyard with a "secret garden" feel. Perfect for morning coffee, a good read, and of course quick bathroom access for a dog if it needs to go quickly! My experience administering medication Yes - just need directions (dosage, frequency, etc.). I have done this for several dogs, and have become a master at it!

Alex was amazing! We felt like our dog was staying with a (very responsible) close friend, rather than a hired sitter. He shows a lot of genuine affection for his furry clients, is highly communicative with his human clients, and seemed to really bond with our little guy. He was also very accommodating of our older dog's special needs (medications, trouble with stairs, etc). He takes the responsibility very seriously, but also seemed to be having a lot of fun spending time with our pooch. I will definitely ask Alex to help out again next time we're away.
Alex was an amazing host for my pooch Dori! He took her for a great hike over the weekend which is one of her favorite things to do. He sent me a ton of adorable photos and updates it was great and brought a smile to my face every time I got a new picture while I was away. I'd book another stay with Alex in a heartbeat and I know Dori would love to see him again!
Bentley stayed with Alex for 2.5 weeks and had a great time! Alex walked him multiple times a day and gave him all the attention that my needy (and social) dog needs. We received the best pictures and videos on vacation (so welcomed because we missed the pup) and Alex was so responsive. I highly recommend him to watch your pup!
This was Moose's first stay with Alex & Kyle - as he had a regular sitter for the past few years. I was a little nervous in finding a new sitter for Moose but that quickly diminished as soon as I met Alex and Kyle. They are warm, personable and just good people - who love animals. Their home is lovely - spacious for SF and right near the park. I received updates and pics of Moose during my time away and they even gave Moose a bath! I had to drag Moose out of there when I got back from vacation. He def had a great time! I've already booked another stay with A+K next week. I extend my highest recommendation - your furry child will be in great hands with these two.

We are a HUGE lover of Golden Retrievers, Labs, Boxers, and really any dog that likes to run, play outside, and snuggle. :) Upon reservation, we would love to meet the dog and owners first and get a sense of their personality and a list of any needs or accommodations that would make their stay as happy and normal - for both the dog and his/her parents.
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks Around Golden Gate Park and/or Duboce Dog Park. Your dog's sleeping arrangement They could sleep on a dog bed (provided by owner), crate (provided by owner), or we're happy to create a little blanket zone for them as well. If the dog is small enough (and snuggler), we are happy to have them snuggle with us at the foot of the bed as well! Time I'll spend with your dog The bare minimum would be a morning, evening, and post-dinner walk. We would love to spend as much time as possible with the pooch. My partner (Kyle) works about 5 blocks from our house so he would often be able to do lunchtime visits and walks as well. Nighttime TV and snuggling is also a must!
