Pet care experience
I love to be with dogs, inside or outside, and am willing to be playmate, caregiver, or living scratch machine as needed. I have experience giving medications - pills, ointments, and shots - and can deal with picky eaters, loud barkers, and overly affectionate dogs who don’t know their own strength. I’ve had a few dogs lay on top of me until I’ve scratched them enough, and honestly I just find it sweet. Patient and willing to be up with a dog when needed, even the middle of the night, and will spend as long as needed outside or cuddled up. Puppies to elderly dogs, energetic to lazy, even dogs with allergies and illnesses like diabetes, I’ve got a lot of experience and am willing to learn new skills as needed. Honestly, I can’t say I’ve met a dog I didn’t like. Whatever quirks they have, just getting to spend time with a fuzzy friend makes it worth it.

This was our first time having Alexa stay with our two pug mixes. Alexa is very personable and professional, a true dog lover! Our female came from an abusive situation and does not warm up to strangers easily. She loved Alexa and even snuggled her. We will be using her again!

We feel blessed to have had Alexa watch our two pups! We felt very comfortable when we met Alexa during our first meeting before we agreed to have her take care of our dogs. Alexa stayed with our pups at our house the whole time and took care of our elderly dog and our 2 year old. I normally worry about my dogs when I am away from them but for some reason, I had such grace, was at ease, and had confidence that everything would be smooth for our family. Alexa is so easy to talk to. She followed all of our instructions and even brought our mail in daily! She kept our home so tidy that when we got back home from our trip, we couldn’t even tell that someone had stayed in our home with our pups! Our dogs really like her and we can tell that they were very comfortable. We chose Alexa and Rover.com over boarding from now on.
Alexa has been taking very good care of our mini golden doodle for a couple years. She gives him so much attention and love. We have never had any issues and our dog absolutely loves her. He gets so excited when she comes over! She will walk him, pet him and play with him. She has a genuine love for dogs and cares for them so much!!
