Uptown / Marigny / Quarter Walkies!

Pet care experience

A responsible, energetic, and experienced friend for your furry family member(s)! As a veterinarian's daughter, I grew up around all sorts of dogs and other animals - my first memory is assisting my dad with surgery! My first job was a farm sitter for a neigbor's dogs, horses, cows, llamas, and chickens, which is something I've continued intermittently since. I've housesat and petsat many dogs over the years and would love to entertain your pooch! Right now, I am a full-time law student and sorely missing dog-time. As a former full-time social worker, I remember the rush home to walk my Siberian Husky (who is currently fostering with family in a cooler climate). I'm here to help alleviate that stress for you and your pooch! Your dog has energy? Great. Let's talk about walking, running, and playing fetch to get those zoomies out! (Maybe even roller skating!) Maybe your dog is a little older and just needs a short walk and some human time? Excellent. I'm all about the scratches, belly rubs, and potentially silly voices. Bottom line: every dog is different - let's keep them happy and healthy together. I'm excited to meet and entertain your furry family member!

Information Adi F. would like to know about your pet

Your rules for your dog (for example, does Fido need to sit before he gets his leash put on?), a description of Fido's leash manners, how your dog interacts with other humans (little and grown), how your dog interacts with other dogs, and your dog's recall (come command) level. I do not have breed preferences (I love all dogs!). However, I have a lot of experience with huskies, border collies, and other working breeds - let's find your dog something to do!

A typical day

Walks! Runs! Skates! Plays fetch! Other activities! Every dog is different - different energy needs, different levels of engagement, and different interests (squirrel TV vs. the ball vs. "I just wanna run"). Luckily, I'm flexible to your dogs needs. Of course, walk locations will depend on your neighborhood and your dog! Generally, I would prefer to walk (or run/jog) in your neighborhood. However, for some pooches, the ride to the park is half the fun! Does your high energy dog love fetch? I will throw that ball until my arm falls off. Maybe your dog doesn't love fetch (my husky doesn't care for fetch at all). If you have a high energy dog with okay leash manners and live close to Audubon or City Park or nicely paved trail, we can talk about me skating with your pooch to get that extra energy out!
