Pet care experience
Hi! I've been taking care of pets for neighbors, family, and friends since I was a pre-teen. My family's labrador is 13 years old now, and much more manageable, but I have a lot of experience with her when she was much more mischievous and energetic. Over the years, I have often taken care of a large variety of dogs, including walking, feeding, playing, giving medication, bathing, and . Other animals I have cared for include cats, goats, rats, mice, reptiles, chickens, cows, and horses. I am responsible, honest, respectful of your care plan, and passionate about animal welfare and safety. I will love your dog (or other pet) as my own

Abby is awesome!! We’ve used her twice now for overnight weekend sitting for our 2 dogs and would highly recommend!
Abby was so great with Lenny when she took care of him at our house during our vacation week. She communicated with us regularly, handled whatever came up, and left our place very clean. She took my many notes and instructions in stride and very responsibly cared for Lenny with all of it in mind. We definitely hope Abby can care for Lenny when we need a pet-house sitter in the future.
Abby was such a great sitter for our two dogs while we were out of town for a long weekend! She sent pictures and kept in contact and we could tell our pups were super happy and comfortable with her. We would highly recommend!
Great communication and could tell Abigail truly enjoyed hanging out with my dogs.

Unfortunately, I cannot care for dogs in my own home, but have a lot of experience caring for dogs in their homes. I am able to drop in for short visits to feed/play/let out etc. OR can stay with your dog overnight(s) and be sure to keep his/her normal routines. Willing to accommodate your dog's needs for overnight stays, including bathing, medication, short walks, etc.
Information Abigail D. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog has any special needs or behaviors that I can account for. I am very willing to accommodate most quirks, preferences, or special care plans, just do not prefer doggies that have unresolved aggressive tendencies towards people or other dogs. I also appreciate knowing whether your pooch has pulling tendencies on leash- this just helps me brace myself to prevent injury, as well as perhaps ensure he/she has a harness available to use for the safest, most comfortable walk!
A typical day
I do my best to match your dog's energy level and desire to play, whether inside your home, in their yard, or on a walk. If there is an opportunity to take a walk on a nature trail, etc. nearby that has more stimuli than your average sidewalk, I will usually choose that! I want your dog to be engaged and interested- the more (safe) sniffs the better!

Availability
I'm a grad student, so I do have classes and homework to commit to, but am very flexible in finding time to fit in walks, drop-ins, etc.! Honestly, 9 times out of 10, I would rather shuffle around my schedule than miss a chance to meet your sweet pup!
