About: Hi there, my name is Katelyn, and I am a UGA educated wildlife sciences major, who’s worked with all kinds of animals throughout the years. Here’s a quick list of my qualifications: 31 years of pet ownership and care of all kinds of animals Former Zoo Atlanta zookeeper Former Staff Supervisor at Humane Society of Morgan County Animal Care Tech II at the University of Georgia Non-human Primate lab Animal Husbandry at Sandy Creek Nature Center Over 5 years in the pet industry with aquarium products manufacturers I have worked with animals from primates and large, exotic animals, to dogs and cats of all shapes, sizes and ages, to birds, fish and reptiles. I am also a single mom to a 12 year old girl who loves animal as much as I do. On a single person income, I am looking to make a few extra bucks, and spend some more time around animals that I’ve sorely missed. We love them all, from scaled and feather to furry and fluffy, please don’t hesitate to reach out! I do work a 9-5, so I am able to come by after 5pm to feed/walk/check in, etc. Weekends are available unless otherwise stated. We're also welcome to boarding! I'm happy to accomodate animals of all needs and levels, whether in my home or yours. I always approach animals with the understanding that I am a stranger to them (most of the time), and appreciate that they may be fearful. I have a 1 acre yard that is currently unfenced (soon to be rectified). However, I am very comfortable taking boarding dogs out for regular potty breaks, walks, playtime and exercise as needed.

“PERFECT spot for a dog vacation. I am so thankful that I have found the ideal loving paw parents to care for my Marley whenever I have to go out of town. I had an intense two week training class and Marley had a two week play date with Charlee and Chloe. Marley had several firsts, he got to swim, layout on a float in a awesome pool, go on daily golf cart rides and play chase in a beautiful backyard and lease walks with his new pawfriends while getting all the love, kisses and belly rubs that he needed from these awesome humans. This couple is home with the pups everyday and treated Marley just like one of their own babies and he fell in love with them. I received messages and pictures several times each day to let me know how much fun he was having. They even worked with Marley to find the food combination that my picky little guy would eat. At the end of my two weeks I returned to a healthy happy little boy that had been groomed and smelled so good. I was so nervous about leaving Marley and especially for two weeks, but the care of this couple put my mind and heart at ease and I was able to focus on my tax law classes without worrying if he was ok. I cannot say thank you enough and they will be my permanent substitute pawparents for my Marley whenever I have to travel.”

“Nancy was really great with our two mini goldendoodles. They even came back cleaner then when we brought them to her! And very happy- a huge difference from when picking them up from a kennel. She was very communicative and shared photos and videos of our pups playing. She also has the sweetest dog named Jasper with not a single aggressive characteristic and we felt bad because of our slightly bullying boy doodle. Her house is located in a very pastoral area with a very large grassy area in which the dogs could safely run around. Her house was also very clean with lots of dog toys around. Per place for dogs to play and be happy. Overall, very happy with Nancy and we would definitely ask her to take our dogs again.”
