“Rebecca M, was simply the best person for my dog. She was knowledgeable and caring. She gave me good information regarding my dogs microchip and I acted on it the very next day. Now her chip is activated and I don't ever have to worry about her getting lost. I plan to use her again next week for my next trip. If you want a sitter for your dog, you can't get any better than Rebecca!”

“We were one of Anita and Kirk's first customers and we are still using them 1 year later. Our dog Kiefer is the boxer brindle in their profile pic, he has such a great time that we secretly think he would rather stay there full time than with us. I am amazed at the level of care they provide to the dogs that stay. We received plenty of pictures of Kiefer during his stay and he looked very happy. We are going to continue using them for future stays.”
“Kristin always provides updates on our elderly girl, Mya. She gives Mya meds when needed. And she tries hard to find ways to get our picky girl to eat her food. We can relax while Mya is in Kristin’s care know she is a great caretaker!”

“Danielle did an excellent job with my two fur babies. She took care of them as if they were her own. They are very nervous babies but Danielle seems to have the secret on how to make them less anxious and to become comfortable in her home. Infact I was told my Junie did not want to leave! She fed them like we discussed and took ample amount of photos and videos. My husband and I usually don't take vacations that often but we really enjoyed ourselves knowing they were in good hands. I would like to thank Danielle and her family again for a job well done and I would recommend her anytime.”

“Kept me posted via text, pictures and videos. Eileen is very personable, and patient with Ginger, who is a little shy and takes time to get comfortable with other fur babies. Ginger smelled like a million bucks when we picked her due to the complimentary shampoo Eileen provided. Thank you ☺️”

“Kristen and family were amazing. This was the first time Bear stayed with a sitter and he was comfortable and loved the entire time. I actually think he didn’t want to come home! Will definitely be using Kristen for any future sitting ❤️”

“I’m so glad I found Carrie! She was awesome with my LILO. I was so nervous about leaving my dog with strangers who did not know her and vice-versa but after Carrie told me of all the animals she had I knew she was an animal lover and we would be in good hands. I was right. Will definitely use her again!!”

“Steven was great with my dog Luckee. He accommodated my last minute booking request and Luckee had the best time during his stay! Steven was very knowledgeable about dogs and I didn’t have any concerns whatsoever. I would definitely use him again.”

“Shelanne was AMAZING!!! Harper has found her new vacation home :) I received updates and photos/videos daily. Easy booking, priced reasonably, great communication and wonderful first meet. Large backyard for dogs to run and play. She even took our baby on walks. We will definitely be booking again!!”

“Rose was a terrific find !!!! She’s conscientious, kind, loves your pets like they’re her own and keeps in touch daily with great pictures !!! She watched our Ollie (Dachshund) and Rowdie (Welch Terrier) and they immediately took to her and her fur baby Winnie !!! We’ll be back for sure. Loved the comfortable home setting !!! Thanks Rose and Winnie !!!!”

“We attended a wedding over a weekend and Katherine and John were so welcoming to Zoey! We contacted them for a meet and greet and they were very agreeable. They were accomadating to our quirky schedule and very easy to work with. Zoey had a fantastic time at their home and we enjoyed the photos and updates sent to us . This was our first Rover experience and I’d say it was a success and hope to use Katherine and John again in the near future”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs pretty much my entire life. I can’t help but love on dogs. They have so much to offer and live so deeply. I work full time during the week. Once I’m home and on weekends I am all about loving on my own Willow! We love to play and go for walks as much as possible. Usually by bedtime we are both exhausted. I do not have a fenced yard but we live in a quiet development. Since we are in the back it is safe. Dogs can have free roam of the house if they are potty trained. We do have small area sectioned off for our own pup that we can use if not potty trained. Our own pup is crated trained and in her crate when we aren’t there as well as at night. We prefer the same.

“Max had a very nice stay. Family is very friendly and accommodating. Max seemed to have a great time. Alison sent us pictures during his stay. Would highly recommend this individual for care again. Looking forward to our next stay. 5 stars all the way !!!”

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
