Yes, I have a friend whose dog needs insulin and they have the prescription filled at Walmart. It's the same stuff they would get at the vet but much cheaper. Also, ask your vet to see if there's any pharmacy reps who could donate samples to help off-set the cost.

Right! I have 4 dogs and usually have 2 to 3 more every week/end. I live in NorCal where it can be as hot as 110 degrees in summer. One of the most important things is to keep poop picked up as best as possible. Second, keep the lawn mowed every week (even during winter, except when its too wet to mow) and leaves picked up. After every mow, put down fresh dirt and lawn seed. After awhile, you'll be surprised at how much of a difference a little extra maintenance does. Make sure your water irrigation is not over-watering certain areas that might puddle and cause muddy spots. And, if it's too much for you to do....look for a yard maintenance service who can do it for you. We have a huge front and back yard and I found the service to be super affordable and it made it so that our days weren't consumed with worrying about the yard.

The first thing to do is talk to your vet. Ensure there's no other medical conditions that could be causing the car sickness/motion symptoms. The vet will often recommend over the counter products and give you dosage instructions based on the dogs weight. Or they may have other medications or options for you. In the meantime, I would do some training by just getting the dog in and out of the car (not even driving anywhere). After that goes well, do a short trip around the block. After short rides go well, lengthen the ride a bit. It takes a lot of patience, but starting small and building up their confidence being in the car can go long way.
