commented answer "Out-of-Office" Auto Reply Text?

Thanks Hillary!

asked a question "Out-of-Office" Auto Reply Text?

I will be out of the country over Labor Day Weekend. I have already adjusted my bookings calendar accordingly to say that I am not available, but I wanted to know if it's possible to set up auto-texts to potential clients that text me asking about availability, etc.?

I will not be able to respond to those texts and will have limited access to email while I am gone. I don't want my response time average to go down.

Is there a way to have a kind of "Out of Office" auto reply text implemented?

What do other people do when they are out of pocket and have no access to the internet?

Thanks in advance for your advice!

asked a question Does Anyone Else Give Clients Thank-You Notes?

After each stay, I give each client a handwritten thank you note. Clients really enjoy them, and I think it adds a personal touch.

Does anyone else do something like this, and if so, have your clients reacted positively?

commented answer Good Dog Breed for Service?

Agree with Melanie--Golden or Lab.

answered a question Stay photos?

If you text the client through the number provided by Rover, or use the Rover app, the pictures are automatically saved to your profile where Meagan says they are.

You may have to check for the pictures through the actual Rover site; I am not sure they show up on your "profile" page on the Rover app.

After the stay has been completed, Rover then automatically compiles your photos into a movie and sets it to music, which is a really nice touch. A couple clients have reached out afterwards to specially say how much they like the video part.

answered a question what dog breed is the worst to sit for?

There are two factors I look at when gauging how difficult it will be to watch a dog:

  1. How nervous they are generally; and
  2. How aggressive they are with other dogs or humans

Shane is right in that certain breeds are associated with incorrect stereotypes. For example, Pit Bulls, in my experience, are the sweetest, happiest dogs around. I have a Jack Russell Terrier (very high energy!) and she's the easiest dog in the world to take care of.

You really have to deal with dogs on an individual, case-by-case basis instead of just avoiding dogs based on their breed. The best way to do this is by:

  1. Reading the dog's profile on Rover; and
  2. Meeting the dog in person at the Meet & Greet

I wish I could give more generalized advice.. Hope this helps!
