commented answer Has anyone any experience with the Cane Corso breed? Just feeling a little unsure of this breed. Has anyone kept a Cane Corso and have anything to report on the breed?

I agree with many of the comments. This type of dog is a guard dog. Being a really strong, big dog means that you probably do not want to let this guy interact with your pets or any others. I would keep him separate, if possible, and make sure that he is on a secure halter and lead before going for walks. If he is a puller or you feel concern about control, maybe walk him in your yard or just let him loose in your yard if you have a good fence. I think, like the others, that being sure you can control the situation is key. Good luck!

commented question What are resources to figure out what is the best dog for me?

This is a great question. Many breeds are happy to be indoors alot and are easy to train. Other breeds require more outside time and need an owner committed to training. Knowing yourself, your lifestyle, and what you want from the relationship with your puppy pal is the first step. Do you want a walking or jogging buddy? Are you committed to walks and exercise with your pup? Do you want a fur pal that fits an apartment lifestyle? Are there breed or weight restrictions in your place of residence? Do you plan on traveling with your pet? These are all important questions to ask yourself. Grooming and breed related health problems are another consideration. Most good dog breed books list disposition and health issues.

commented question Any suggestions on how to stop puppy mouthing and play biting?

I agree with all the folks who say "ow" or "ouch" and stop playing. This also works with rabbits.

commented question How do you handle a dog constantly barking?

Redirection helps. Bring out a ball or toy or treat and try to get the dog interested in something besides barking.

commented question What are some (ideal) Meet & Greet questions?

I always ask if they have special instructions for me. This is a non-confrontational question that allows pet parents to mention things like "Fuzzy does not like to get too close to strange dogs on his walk". If they have no instructions, I just ask what "Fuzzy" enjoys doing (walking, playing ball, treats, etc.). I hope this helps.
