commented answer | what happens if you get bit? Rover actually does give reimbursement for injuries to you or damages to your home. This is what Rovers Covers: https://www.rover.com/insurance/ https://www.rover.com/blog/sitter-resources/premium-insurance-info/%3C/p%3E (https://www.rover.com/blog/sitter-resources/premium-insurance-info/) |

asked a question | Why are the Videos only 15 seconds Long? Dear Rover team, would it be possible to increase the video length time from 15 seconds in length to at least 30 maybe 45 seconds long. I have to trim every single video I record to send to a client and that takes away time I could be spending with their pets. 15 seconds is not enough time for a video it makes it very hard to tell a story or make a lasting impression on the client. 15 seconds comes and goes in the blink of an eye, in my opinion in 15 seconds the human mind doesn't even have enough time to take in the moment and enjoy it. Thank you for reading my suggestion. |
asked a question | Why can't Sitters charge travel costs for Meet and Greets that are far away? I set my Meet and Greet travel radius to 50 miles. 50 miles round trip to do a meet and greet can be costly. Many sitters do not offer boarding especially here in Upstate New York because they rent a house or apartment that does not allow pets, therefore the client can't come to their home because they live in an apartment that does not allow pets. I had many owners ask me to come to meet the dogs up to three times and I had to travel long distances for the Meet and Greets. I wish Rover had an option where sitters could charge a rate for the Meet and Greets if they chose to, or offer it for free within a certain mile radius that sitters specify. Most owners want to have the reassurance that they can trust their sitters, and they ask sitters to come more than once to spend time with their pets, many people want you to come at least two times or more to get to know their pets, build trust and spend time with them. I think there should be some kind of option where people can request additional Meet & Greets, and there should be an option where Sitters or can set their own travel costs. I don’t think it’s a good idea to limit the travel distance, 50 miles is not a very far distance to travel. I think a sitter should be able to travel long distances to help a family with their dogs if the family can't find another sitter, traveling gives sitters a chance to build their networks and does not limit them to a small radius. Thank so much for reading my suggestion. |

asked a question | Extended Stays and why they don't offer an additional dog rate? I don't understand why the Extended Stays are not consistent with the overnight stays. If someone books my services for an overnight stay for $45 for example I have it set that each additional dog is $5. But let's say I set my price to be more or less for the extended stay. Let's say I want the extended stay to be $60 a night, well if the owners have two dogs the Extended stay does not give the option to add an additional dog and I don't understand why? Just like an overnight booking I think an extended stay should have an additional dog rate. Thanks |
asked a question | If Rover allows people to have two sitters why have they not updates their system? Rover only offers one booking space per household and I can't wait till they update this, they told me they are working on updating their site for sitters who work with a partner so they have two booking spaces, i'm just waiting for them to update it. They told me for now to just change the date as a workaround, but changing the date and explaining to my clients why i'm changing the date doesn't seem professional for me as a sitter and it shows to the client that the website needs to be updated. I wish the spaces were updated soon. I really hope they add two spaces for house sitting soon, for people like myself who work with a partner. Dear Rover team please update your system to have two spaces. |
