asked a question Does Rover provide proof of "employment/business" to sitters?

Can a sitter get any type of "employment/business" proof from Rover? I tried to open an Amazon Business account, and they are requesting proof of employment/business. Any ideas? Thank you.

commented answer What is the host's reaction if, during a meet-n-greet, the dog owner is seen wearing a gun while in our house, and without having saying anything about it prior to entering our property?

He was not.

Well, the meet-n-greet started outside anyway, but neither my husband or I noticed the man wearing a weapon at that time. And he never requested permission, or even said anything about it. Thank you for your suggestions.

commented question How Safe is Rover for Sitters?

No, clients do not go through any background check. They are only required, and this only when they are actually booking their stays, to provide with a credit card. Also, if a sitter for any reason asks Rover for information regarding clients, you receive practically nothing. So, to answer your question, a client who is a complete stranger can have access to your home, and keep on being a complete stranger even after you book with them several times. It is up to the client to reveal information to you. While they know who you are and where you live.

Last year we had a meet-n-greet with a couple who had two boxers. We live in Colorado and they had recently moved here from Louisiana. After about 5-6 minutes, and while they were in our back yard, I noticed that the man was wearing a pistol around his waist, mostly covered by his shirt. He never said anything, or asked permission to enter our home being armed with a lethal weapon. I was petrified, but said nothing fearing a negative reaction (and being unarmed myself). How are hosts protected from complete strangers entering our homes -during meet-n-greets- when we know almost nothing about them, and they even know where we live?

commented question Do reviews boost your ratings? Because I can't get people to do it!?

Interesting question. We've been having similar experience mainly with Rover customers. Do not have this issue with DogVacay pet parents (they leave reviews at a 85-90%, while merely 40% or less on Rover. Coincidence?
