answered a question What is your maximum distance you are willing to travel?

I have a fulltime job that's on the other side of town so when I look at prospective new clients I take into consideration two radiuses: distance from my home and distance from my work.

I'm more willing to do drop-ins or walks further from my home if they fall in line with my work schedule. For example, if the client lives outside of my house radius but only 3 miles from my office, I'll accept the request if I can conduct the service as soon as I get off work while I'm on my way home. If the client lives completely out of the way or wants a service conducted while I'm at work, then I decline.

For overnight stays I'm a bit more lenient. As long as the client lives within same distance to my office as my own home is, then I'll accept. Especially if its an extended stay. And of course it makes the situation a whole lot easier if I can bring my personal dog. I have a roommate that cares for my dog when I have overnights, but I'm more willing to go further out of my way if the client agrees for me to bring my personal animal with me.

answered a question I can't find a recommended sitter's name. Can I search for a sitter by name?

Ross, if you can't find a specific sitter, then that could potentially mean that sitter is booked for the timeframe you are requesting or the sitter has set their profile to "away" or "only repeat clients." If someone who has booked this sitter before recommended this sitter, ask the person that referred the sitter to copy and past the sitter's specific profile link in a message to you. All previous client's have access to their sitter's profile. Or possibly adjust the search map to see if different sitters show up in different areas. If those tips don't work, then contact Rover's Customer Support team!

asked a question Profile Plagiarism?

Relative to my specific location, I am a fairly successful Rover sitter compared to other sitters in my area. My friend was the first Rover sitter in my area and I signed up to be a sitter not long after her. Needless to say, she and I have two of the larger client bases amongst sitters in our area.

I have not used Rover from the client side. However, I went to go see if anyone was available for a last minute walk for my pups and noticed a new sitter had signed up. While reading through his profile, I noted that he copied some lines from both mine and my friend's profiles. Clearly, not all the information on his profile is exactly the same because he adds personal information specific to him. However, some of the lines are clearly just copied and pasted from our profiles. Also, even if the information is different, his profile follows the same.... for lack of a better word, "formula" or "structure" as ours.

Is this something that should be addressed? Either directly to the person in question or to Rover? I don't know exactly what can be done about it. It's not necessarily hurting anyone or anything. But it irks me to know someone was too lazy to type their own profile, you know?
