I don't charge for late pickup but I indicate that 9pm is the latest pickup time or they will need to book an additional night. I do allow some flexibility for traffic and isolated instances but am fairly strict. Been up til 2am too many times and won't do it anymore!

I do not expect tips and most owners do not tip. I do not generally tip my dog sitters either. I feel like I am paying for the service and that is sufficient. I'm not at all anti-tipping but do not feel it is warranted in most dog sitting cases.

I am watching a three year old yellow lab for the second time and he is repeatedly urinating in the same spot - even while I am home and there is access to our fenced yard. He did it the first time he was here in July 2017 and went back to the same spot this second stay. I will not take him again but initially wanted to give him a second chance since he's a nice dog with a nice owner. The owner just says it's because he has a dog door at home but I am home most the time and access to outdoors is almost constant. Two questions: - how do I get this smell out? Last time it took months with carpet cleaning! Anyone have any secret tricks or great products? - I will wait until she gets back but I am nervous about telling this owner that her dog can no longer stay here. Anyone have tips on this? Thank you!!
