I wouldn't recommend rope toys. The strings get torn, shredded, ingested. Have been known to intertwine in the intestines and cause severe problems. I suggest a konk with and age appropriate biscuit or a tug made from konk material. My dog loves them, too, but the strings get caught in his throat.
