commented answer | I have made over $600 but haven't received any forms? Thank you for your response. I saw your response on some other questions and was crossing my fingers you would answer. I thank you for your help. So essentially it is like I only net 50% of my current rate of 30.00 a night? I think if you could answer this it would help my understanding. |
asked a question | I have made over $600 but haven't received any forms? I have been on Rover since last year, 2015, and I did not make enough to file. This year, I am already there, and have made enough to file. I get my payments through Paypal but I have no received the 1099 form. I am trying to figure out how taxes work here with Rover. I know they take 20% for fees, so if I have to put away for my own taxes (being an independent contractor or self-employed you must take out taxes yourself), I would say take another 30% for each client that books? That would make myself earning 50% of my rate? I just want to make sure I have a general idea of how taxes will be working. If someone could give some guidance it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! |
