It happens to me often when i respond to a client via text & i have no idea until i open the app to read our message or the client tells me..

asked a question Do i need to wait til after a early pick up to change dates & availability calendar in order to receive the 50% pay for 7 of those days?

(Sorry ahead of time for the long post) I have a question about boarding & early pick up.. I'm currently boarding 2 dogs & booked to have them stay for 19 days (6th-25th) but the owners just informed me they will be picking up their babies this coming tues11th after a devastating child adoption didn't go as planned💔my heart breaks for them.. can someone please explain how i go about changing my calendar & availability to show I WILL be available for the day's I'm booked as of now I have never had a early pickup/cancellation during a stay..my policy is set to Strict so I know I'll be getting 50% of what i charge for the 7 after tues(pickup), obviously ill receive full amount for the 6 days they are actually in my care & owners will be refunded 100% for the following days did i get that right? what im most confused about is my availability calendar & changing their dates so that I'll show up in a new search... if i modify the date to the new pickup will i still receive 50% for those 7 days? And do i select "cancel stay" or change dates or is owner required to change this? I was planning on just leaving it how it is right now and just changing it when they come to pick up the dogs in 3 days but even in a few days I could still possibly book another potential client & with this being my only source of income i can't afford to be "off the market " per se for any amount of time especially since I only take in 1 family of dogs at a time... I called Rover support they explained a little bit about the refund but I'm still pretty confused about the rest.. this is only my 2nd boarding with Rover so I'm still trying to figure out the site and all the rules.. at the same time I need to make this situation stressfree & keep it simple & not come off coldhearted with such a extremely sensitive situation.. I'm trying to not bother the owners with anything that's not necessary at this time since they're going through so much already I wish I could afford to just give them a 100% refund for the whole time but I'm not in that position so I still have to make a living even when things go terribly wrong!! Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated!!! tia
