answered a question How do you see the neighborhood the requesting owner is in?

Before a booking, I just ask for the nearest cross streets to their home. The town I live in is huge, and I'm in the northwest corner, so everything is a bit of a drive for me. Most of my clients want midday walks too, so I get an idea of their location before I commit to walking.

answered a question Does anyone bring their child with them on pet visits and dog walks?

I had to bring my 15 year old with me to a couple of clients once over the summer. I gave the clients notice and asked their approval, and they were fine. I told them that if they didn't approve, he's old enough to walk around the block on his own. I don't think I'd bring a small child with me. I think it could easily end up in your child being injured.

answered a question Can I specify my availability on an hourly basis, for example available 11:00-1:30 but not 1:30-3:00?

Thanks for asking this question, and thanks Walt for answering. I wanted to ask this too because I was hoping there was a way to be more specific about available hours, but maybe this will be the case in the future.

asked a question Has anyone else gotten false requests for dog walking?

Not sure how to prevent it, if that's even possible, but please help if you can. I'm new to Rover.

I've gotten two "fake" requests for dog walking. I got the requests, responded back, and then got a message that the profiles had been deleted. I didn't see the location of one of the requests because it was deleted too fast, but the one i did see was WAY out of my territory - another state, if I remember right.

I have to say it creeps me out more than a little bit as a female. I'm thankful for the self defense training that I continue to develop, and maybe I'm overreacting because of that, but this experience rubs me the wrong way. I don't believe my profile would lead anyone to think that I want to do anything except walk their dog.

Thanks for any suggestions!
