answered a question | how to send dog photo to rover from my mobile phone? I was just looking at this.. How do I upload photos or videos from my mobile device? https://support.rover.com/hc/en-us/articles/206353133-How-do-I-upload-photos-or-videos-from-my-mobile-device- (https://support.rover.com/hc/en-us/ar...) |
answered a question | How long should it take for a sitter to respond to boarding request? That would be a RED flag. As an owner/requestor, I would wonder how they would care for my loved one. As a sitter, i would respond almost ASAP to keep the trust going for a possible client. 48 hours? |
answered a question | As a pet owner, is it acceptable to expect to see the inside of the sitter's house? As an owner, I want to see the environment my dog will live for the next few days. So far, most of my Meet and Greets are the sitters home because I ask for it, and at a neutral meeting place. I always ask about the living situation, how multiple dogs will be cared for, caring schedule/manners when sitter leaves home without them, etc. I've turned down a few where I did not feel comfortable leaving my dog there even though pictures seem like it was their home. As it turns out, those who did not invite us to their home for M&G, i ended up last on my list of choices. |
commented answer | How can we inform clients about the importance of meet and greets prior to stays? I always ask for a Meet and Greet. In Person meeting, you can "feel" the person who will be caring for your loved one. We let our dog choose the care giver. When he is not into them, he walks away. And if he likes you, he will play and let you pet him. |
commented answer | How do I change my pick up date? Rover does ask both sides for approval. That just happened to me. |
commented question | Is Bordetella Vaccine required to board my dog? I would require all vaccinations, safety first for both sitter and dog you are caring. It will ease any issues that could arise. |
answered a question | Proof of rabies shots for the sitter? I actually always include the health record with vaccinations, etc. in my dog's bag along with emergency contacts and care instructions. I think it's very helpful for a sitter, quick reference. As a sitter, wouldn't you want to require all the vaccinations especially mingling with your own loved one. I would. |
commented question | why do we have to leave reveiw for dogs after their stay? Especailly if they're repeat clients? I always leave another review for my repeat sitter because the experience is always different. I like to tell others how/what the experience is like after the first time to the second time, etc. And I want to help them by showing we always enjoyed the multiple visits. |
