| answered a question | How do I get a first booking? Hang in there Brianna, don't give up. It took 2 months to get my first Rover sitting and I live in rural Northern Michigan. Once I got that first one everything fell into place. The owner from my first booking told someone, who told someone, etc. and I have been swamped ever since starting in May. I am now having to turn down requests weekly. Just hang in there and it will happen. Also make sure you tell everyone and anyone you know what you are doing. I agree with what Walt said too. I notice he didn't mention posting on Craigslist. Walt is that something else she should try? |
| answered a question | My dog occasionally gags/vomits after drinking water. Cause for concern? My Beagle does it too, mostly in the summer. She gulps water and ends up choking and gagging. I think she is trying to take in much more than she can swallow at once. |

I plan to tell their owner that it would be nice to see them on an oral & or topical preventative along with the collars. Since her dogs trek across 40 wooded acres everyday to per parents farm for treats. Plus they swim in our pond. |

And we have not encountered any more fleas anywhere. We live in Northern Michigan back in the woods. We see deer several times per day in our yard. Also, have fox and coyotes. So we are vigilant about no dog going out alone too |

But like I said before those 2 dogs are coming back. Rented to a couple that had cats & when they moved out they left fleas behind. I had to tx Orkin to get rid of them. tried to flea bomb but too many survived and they multiply fast |

She is on flea and tick oral medication. It just so happened that my dog had a vet appt. the day after I saw the flea. The vet checked my dog real quick and found 2 more but said they wouldnt survive long b/c she was on |

Their owner booked me right away after their first visit & just a couple days before we discovered the fleas. The collars they were wearing rated in the top 10 of flea/tick collars on the market. |

The owner assured me at the meet and greet that they worked great. Other than the dogs smelling good they did nothing. We ended up with fleas. |
