answered a question What are some (ideal) Meet & Greet questions?

Here are my questions:

  1. What type of dog do you have?

  2. What is his/her weight and age?

  3. Does he/she get along with other dogs or animals?

  4. What is his/her temperament?

  5. Is he/she active?

  6. Any on-going ailments or issues I need to know about?

  7. Does he/she listen to basic commands?

  8. What is his/her favorite toy, foods and snacks?

  9. Do you have an emergency number handy and is the person reliable?

  10. What is the veterinary contact information?

  11. What do you do in a situation where a dog who was playful gets aggressive with your dog, in other words a sudden bite...?

..**Myself, I would get my dog out of harms way by pulling on the leash, shout at the other dog while looking for the owner, and use my bullhorn!

answered a question How do you handle a dog constantly barking?

My neighbors dog constantly barked when inside the home. She's sweetest angel outside. Take him/her for a walk. It's usually cause for exercise, a lot of roaming and fresh air should do the trick! Introduce a new chew toy that squeaks http://www.amazon.com/Play-Squeaky-Quack-Sound-Large/dp/B00PK12O12 (image description). Something YOU know he/she will enjoy.

Although some dogs do it because there is a stranger amongst their presence and they have not accepted them.

answered a question How to stop dogs from peeing in one area of the house?

Using harmful chemicals solutions may cause other health risk factors. Try using green products or For the most part, using vinegar may depend on the type of dog you have. It does not work for all. You know your dog best and your training method with him/her. Get creative with your training tactics. Be humble and follow your gut instinct without physical or mental harm to your loved one. Perhaps blocking off the area and initiating the word "No!", when you see the attempt on the area. Take him/her straight outside and deliver a treat he/she loves or hasn't had in a while with additional praise!!

answered a question How do you stop a dog from digging?

It depends on what the dog is digging for.. could be boredom, food, another dog or missing the owner. Either way you can introduce new toys, singing, or place rocks at the site of digging
