I have had this happen to me. I had a client visiting a friend from out of state and he booked a daycare with me on christmas eve. Then that evening he hadn't picked up his dog and asked me to pick him up and take him to a hotel. I told him I wasn't comfortable doing that and then the next day he was on a bus from Texas to Indiana because he had an argument with his friend! I ended up having his dog for 30 more days and another friend of his ended up picking up his bill. We even had to take the dog to the vet, twice during the month because she was in such poor health. Finally after a month he drove back to Texas from Indiana and picked up his dog

I have only ended a stay once. I had met with the owner and dog prior for a meet and greet and all seemed fine. As soon as the owner was gone the dog became aggressive toward me. I put up a baby gate to give him some time to calm down in the living room. Several hours later he was still behaving aggressively. I tried to get him outside to the bathroom and he ended up jumping our 6 foot fence. My husband and I called rover and the owner and looked for him for an hour. He eventually came back and when my husband attempted to put a leash on he full on attacked him and we had to go to the emergency room. We did get him into a crate before we left and the owner's emergency contact picked him up that evening. We were out a couple grand from the ER visit and my profile was paused for two weeks. This is my full time career so it was a nightmare. Be sure you are 100% comfortable with the dog before booking
