GhostSitter finally got a hold of me, saying she was being called out of town for work and that maybe dog sitting wasn't going to work out for her. Really? I think she has turned off her account for now. But a heads up via text would have taken two minutes.

Well, over and done- have found a fabulous woman to come in and stay with my girl- couldn't be happier. I think this will be a win-win. The dog stays here in her own house-and her own yard.

After a long think about it I decided to check http://Rover.com for someone to stay at my house while I am out of town and take care of one dog. The dog would be very comfortable with someone in her house. Thinking it would be best to hire a sitter that lives close by (so they could pop home to deal with mail, etc) I contacted a sitter.

She agreed to a meet and greet and then said she was too busy on the appointed day, could we do it the next day at 2 p.m? Well, here it is 3 p.m. and she's a no-show. I understand things come up, so she could have sent me a text. I texted her at 2:30. No answer. Tried calling at 2:45, no answer. Called again at 3, she wasn't accepting messages.

I'm very disappointed, my elderly mother is in the hospital and not doing well, I need to have a reliable person that can come and take care of my dog should I have to leave town.

I'd like to review her, but since there has been no stay I can't! And the website is pretty hard to navigate if you want to contact http://Rover.com.
