| answered a question | How do I get my first booking? I had my Rover profile for about a year before I had any requests. I recently got certified as a Quick Match walker and then once I accepted and completed my first Quick Match walk, I had several requests come in. I don't know if it was coincidence or what, but if Quick Match walking is available in your area, I'd suggest consider getting certified for that. I would also suggest keeping your rates on the lower end to start. I'm still in that phase, so I'm not sure what or how I will handle increasing my prices quite yet, but having lower prices might get you some more requests. And make sure that your profile is thought out and well written! Good luck! |

I have my first sitting appointment booked (I'll be watching a clients dog in my home) and I just want to make sure I understand all the logistics beforehand. Is there a Rover Card for sitting bookings? I'm assuming that on the first day of the sitting, a card will appear for me to start for the sitting booking? And if not, how do I go about documenting the stay? Do I need to? How do I send updates, record events, etc? Just take notes and send a summary to the owner? Any information would be great and helpful! |

| asked a question | Meet and Greet location? Hi, I'm new to Rover and currently in the midst of booking my first boarding appointment. The owner requested a Meet and Greet. I initially requested a public park to meet, but then they said they'd prefer to see where their dog will be staying and asked to come to my apartment. I think this is a completely valid request, although, I guess I can't help but my somewhat cautious inviting a complete stranger into my home. I will be sure to have someone there with me, and I checked out their profile and they have had their dog boarded in other homes. Any suggestions, advice, experience? Is this generally a safe and acceptable way to do Meet and Greets? |
