asked a question separation anxiety ?

hi, i wanted to ask you guys about what do you do with super anxious dogs i'm sitting a big sized 5 years ols german shepherd
he is very attached to his owner after he left he stayed by the door waiting for him and whining i tired to play in the backyard and give him his treats but somehow he gets distracted for a while and run back to the door, its been now over 4 hours he's still looking everywhere, he pulls and runs so hard that i might stumble and fall so taking him for a walk is not an option but do i have any other tricks to sooth him ? thanks

asked a question cancellation policy ?

hello i want to ask a question regarding this issue, so i was requested 15 days before the stay and the owner kept me pending for almost until an hour before she was supposed to drop her dog, and then cancelled on me , my cancellation policy was moderate so all this time it appeared that i'm unavailable in the search cause i only take one dog at a time .and at the same time the cancellation policy didn't apply cause she didn't confirm all that time, now i changed my policy to strict but i want to ask what should i do if the owner keeps me pending even if the policy is strict ?? thanks

answered a question is the rover fee taken from owners and sitters?

i didn't know thats why i asked, rover is all about animal lovers and sitters dedicated to animals , owners finding the perfect home for when they are away from their loved ones. at least to me i am an animal lover , i would think more than twice when it comes to my hyperactive dog. i thought as a loyalty or a thank you out of 5 or 10 stays rover would not take a fee for one time or have a one month trial period for the rover protection package, for dedicated sitters , i don't think it would hurt on the contrary it would build a more strong bond, instead of refer a friend give 20 get 20 i would happily do it for nothing . thats all what came to my mind and cheers for all the dog lovers out there

asked a question is the rover fee taken from owners and sitters?

hi i always wondered the rover fee that is taken from my booking as a sitter is 15% , Does rover charge the owner a fee as well ? i mean is the fee taken from both the sitter and the owner? lots of sitters would build up lots of clients and basically wouldn't need to book through rover anymore. i love rover, i know its secure 24 hour support and gives you lots of options with the calendar and everything and you wouldn't be able to meet so many dog except through rover ,, but shouldn't there be a certain loyalty program for sitters thats been on rover for over a year or something as a reward ..!!.. sometimes the rover fee is up to 50 dollars this means more than a day and a half for free of my whole stay ,if my stay is for 10 days or something i still think it's a lot,, since lots of sitters doesn't want to raise their price but you have no option, seems a little unfair .. if anyone is thinking the same please share with me your opinion. thanks

commented answer what to do with a bad behavior ?

you are right i keep her now in the crate to avoid further damages, i also wanted to leave a review for the dog so other sitters will know about this dog before they accept to sit it. so they dont fall in to my same mistakes but i didn't find that option available in rover . thanks for the answer

asked a question what to do with a bad behavior ?

hi i am sitting a maltese female for 11 days her owner said that she is under a year, i saw her in the meet and greet she tried to bite my hand but i was ok she was really small and her bite doesn't hurt when i stayed her she had a lot of things going on in her head she constantly eats anybody flip flops she destroyed 2 ,she peed over the bed i had to wash everything at 1 am her owner mentioned that she has to sleep in her crate this is how she was raised but when ever she sits there she barks like theres no tomorrow until someone gets her out, eventually under my bed and wakes up barking at anybody outside the room and start scratching the door .she runs to the bathroom and start chewing on toilet paper i have to close bathroom doors after me, i wasn't warned about all this she requires a lot of attention i charged a lower rate since she was a puppy as he mentioned but after that i realized it was a big mistake she is barely a year old what should i do?
