I am caring for a dog who was recently brought into the USA from Brazil. This can be a very stressful situation for the dog who had a bad shipping experience a few years ago.

The owners say the dog has been on a diet which requires a subscription in the US. They dropped her off with a bag of new food the dog is not accustomed to. She has refused to eat now for about 36 hours. She has experienced diarrhea for a little more than 24 hours. She drinks water occasionally but will not eat. She is still active and likes to play catch.

I have been in touch with the owner who asked me to watch her for "the next 12 hours." I am about to call and give him the update as above.

Does the insurance through Rover help cover the vet visit and if so how? What do I need to do?
