answered a question How can you stop your dog from chasing squirrels ?

the Leave it command is a great option! Is best to start small and simple when learning "leave it". Begin with treat in open palm directly in front of the dog, say leave it and if they make a move to eat it quickly close your hand saying "no leave it". once they make no move on the open palm, go ahead and say OK! for them to take the treat. Continue this training progressively getting harder, like putting the treat farther away. Then tossing it or using a favorite toy to mimic the movement of an animal.

commented answer What if the dogs owner wants the dog to see a vet?

In addition to this, bringing the dog into the country, the owners should have a veterinary selected/used previously. Going there is best option if it absolutely comes down to it, as they will have the dogs records and owners information. It's always good practice to get the vet info in advance

answered a question Are you getting an Internal Error on the Sitter-to-Sitter board?

yes it has been there a while - i had to post a question about rate si the http://aboutrover.com section

asked a question how can i set a custom puppy rate for dogs under 10 months?

Rover has an option to set a puppy rate for dogs under 1 year, but i would like to set a custom puppy rate for dogs under 10 months. i have clients with dogs between 10months to 1 year and they are ok not requiring enough work for additional rates, so i do not want to turn those clients off. But for pups under 10 months i do want to raise my rate. Help!

Thanks Alicia
