commented question | Why does my dog lick the couch? I have a dachshund and he will at times lick the sofa but it is usually from a specific taste or from food falling (salt, grease, ect.) If it seems like they do it a lot and not because of food, they may have a obsessive/compulsive disorder or something else related and should talk to your veterinarian. |
commented answer | When watching Multiple Dogs. How Do you Introduce a new dog to the pack? If you watch up to 4 different dogs there isn't really a "fool proof" way. You have to read all the dogs body language. To absolutely make sure nothing happens, feed them all separately in separate rooms. Be there when they play with toys as some dogs can be toy aggressive and some owners might not know. But when I add a dog to the group I make sure everyone is on a leash, make sure tails are wagging and not tucked between their legs. |
commented question | Do any of you sit puppies as young as 9 weeks? I watch puppies, 9 weeks is young. A great time for training. Puppies shouldnt be around different dogs or dog parks until they have had all their shots and it also helps if they are at least 6 months old. Puppies can get diseases like parvo which can be life threatening until they are 6 months. |

asked a question | Having a owner book two separate dates at once? Hello, I am a newer sitter and I have a customer who already booked with me in September. Today he asked if I could also watch their dog at the end of this month. I can't figure out how to book them. Unless they have to book it since they haven't stayed with me yet? Or will it not allow them because they are already pending? I dont want to hassle them by starting over with the dates and credit card, ect. |
