asked a question What boarding Insurance do you guys extra outside of Rover?

It has come to my attention that the insurance that rover offers at this time is considered secondary insurance that only covers injuries caused by another dog, it does not include injuries you may receive from handling another dog, damages to your property or possessions, and viral illnesses. Do not believe just because Rover offers insurance that it covers initially everything up front. I'm trying to make sure myself and my home are protected as well. I love Rover and have not had any issues up to this point, but I finally had a situation come up where I questioned the insurance policy and come to find out they really don't cover much. I want to stay in business, let me know if you come up with any suggestions for legitimate insurance for in home boarding. Thanks!

answered a question What does everyone include in there overnight stay booking?

Personally I stopped doing house sitting just because I was having issues with owners or weird stuff would happen. When I did do in home boarding, I would include their walks, bringing in mail, plant watering, and overall security checks of the home. I would be very up front of what the expectations are and do not make them assume anything is either involved or not involved. Ask them what their expectations are, and you can charge extra for different stuff. Also please be advised, they are not required to feed you or give you food if you are staying in their home. Like the person above stated make sure the description is clearly laid out in your profile, and make sure you guys are on the same page.

answered a question Why do I have payment withdrawn but no receipt?

I would call Rover because ultimately everything should be documented for tax purposes and stuff in the future. Typically one is charged for booking and then does not get paid until 48 hours after the stay through PayPal. You should see the payments on your dash board if you don't see it already.

answered a question What to do with a nightmare dog you are sitting?

I would highly recommend diffusing Lavender oils, also before you go further, request all previous sitter notes from Rover and see if this behavior is normal. I do this with a couple of dogs. I have had to place dogs in my back yard before because they were putting my family at risk. Providing physical and mental stimulation is highly important as well. Hopefully this has helped you out!

answered a question Why are the donations made by sitters through the "Sit a Dog, Save a Life" Program not tax deductible?

I would donate directly, once I read that I took it off of my options for pay. I dislike that Rover gets credit with this choice, but it is what it is.

commented question I have been sitting a dog and the owner came back from vacation earlier then paid. How do i refund them the few days they already paid for?

I would go into the modification tab and it will give you the option to refund the owners. I have had this happen a couple of times. Otherwise if you aren't super tech savy just call the customer support and they should be able to help you. I call once a week it seems like.

answered a question Can I give my dog chicken bones?

I would say definitely not. I don't give dogs any bones period. It causes the dogs to beg for human food and can be some times a behavioral issue, so I would stay away from that as much as possible. I do agree with that it can cause serious internal injuries.

commented answer How do I get my Treat game UP?

I don't see a point to this then if it isn't going to help our profiles for potential customers.. but that is just me.

answered a question What does a TREAT mean?

People this is considered a "like" on Facebook in the Rover World. Basically people can like your comments and stuff that you post on here from my understanding.
