Thank you for your feedback. I agree, I would always want to see where my pet is staying prior to paying or dropping him off. I would think the owner would understand safety concerns about providing a home address to a stranger on the internet. Just felt a little off to me.

I am pretty new to Rover so I am not sure if this common. I had a request from an owner to sit in home from Aug 9-20th. The profile states a member since 2016. However, the profile does not have any photos of the owner or the dog. The dog is listed as a 2.5 year old Shih Tzu, weight 6lbs. The messages from the owner stated the dog is 1.5 year old and 14lbs.

I responded and we messaged a couple of times and decided for a meet and greet. However, the owner requested to meet in my home. Which I can understand however, for my own safety I requested a public place as opposed to giving someone without any photos and a few red flags my home address. I also have several photos on my profile showing my yard and home.

The owner then stated they would get back to me if they are interested. I hate to assume the worst, but it does sound a bit suspicious to me? Or am I paranoid?
