answered a question Do you have tips for walking dogs?

This is certainly up my alley, I usually walk on average 15 dogs at once each morning. Usually only about one of ten will poop on the walk. Here is my advice for walking multiple dogs:

  1. Know your dogs. Before walking a lot of dogs together it's best to know how they walk on a leash. I use harnesses on the strong pullers and hook the leash to the chest area. If a dog pulls, it turns them around. Not all dogs are suite for group walks.

  2. Use an Ezy Dog Handle with a choker chain run through all the leash handles. You can tie bags of pop to the chain while walking to keep a hand free. The Ezy Walk handle is very comfortable and it prevents injury to your hand.

  3. Always carry a couple spare leashes with slip collars in case a dog gets loose or needs extra slack.

  4. Remember the start of the walk will be the toughest, the dogs are the most excited. Be especially careful walking out the door for leashes that can trip you.

  5. No matter what happens remain calm.

commented answer How to prevent 'marking.'

I saw that on Lucky Dog too, it's the first time I saw the method used. Brandon McMillion is an excellent trainer, he's been around animals his whole life.

answered a question Do you let your dog sleep in your bed?

Heck yes, all dogs are welcome. However space is limited and restricted to a first come first lie basis!

answered a question How much should I charge for dog walking?

I think the answer above is really good. I would also consider the distance you have to travel to get to the dogs you are going to walk. Personally, I only do pet sitting and dog walking

I walk my next door neighbor's dog M=F along with all the dogs here. Since the only real work I do is walk next door to get him it's really no extra work for me. I am good friends with my neighbors and I found their (rescue) dog for them so I only charge them $10 a week.

I walk a couple's three dogs M=F and it takes me about eight minutes to drive to their place. Following their instruction I walk two of the dogs and then trade out one of the dogs for the second walk. Two of the dogs have fear issues so I have to be very careful when we encounter other dogs. I am paid $20 a visit and I love the dogs so it's great.

answered a question While walking your dog, how do you keep him from getting at trash on the ground?

Another option is to by a Rubbermaid Slim Jim commercial grade garbage can with a lid. They are the height of a kitchen counter and hard to knock over if they are next to one. I've used one for several years and it hasn't been knocked over yet.
