My dog can be a bit of a barker and we learned that leaving music on for him helped calm him and feel like someone else was home. We leave a radio on a pretty low volume in the room where he roams while we are out and have never had complaints of barking while away. I have a feeling it helps calm the rover dogs that stay at my home as well.

Sitters are able to rate the dog sitting experience in the same way that the dogs owners rate their experience with rover. I am not sure if you can see if the dog has been rated when you accept the request but I always rate dogs that stay at my home!

Whenever I am confident the dog would be a good fit in my house and that the owner and dog combo is a good fit for my business style I tell them that I am willing to book the stay if they feel it is also a good fit (or if they have any other questions) I book the stay during the meet and greet this allows for a nice time for pet parents to feel comfortable leaving, they may not know what is a customary amount of time for a meet and greet!

I have never used them on my dog but I am having a rover dog stay over with one, and while the owner explained the collar to me I was wondering how the dog sitting community felt about them!

I have an owner wanting me to watch his dog while he does business calls at his home overnight! I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience?

I have an owner who I believe is going to be doing business calls all night asking for me to come watch his dog at his house all night while he works at his house. Is this too strange of a request?
