asked a question | Why do flaky owners affect my booking score? Hello everyone! I've been on rover for a few months, and have had a few successful clients, with even a few repeats. I've noticed, however, that certain things affect my booking score that I consider unfair. Currently, I have 17 archived requests due to a variety of reasons. Of those 17, 10 of them are of NO FAULT of mine, I respond within minutes and am always available to book the appointment or set up a meet and greet. Despite this, the owners often say things like "I've found someone else," someone closer, or cheaper, or someone who just fits their dogs better (some never reply at all)! That's all fine and dandy, I do not mind owners trying to save money or make sure their dogs are happy, but why should these reasons affect my booking score? It has nothing to do with me, and it seems rather unfair. |

asked a question | Is the enhanced background check worth it? Hello everyone! I've been using Rover for about 3 months now, and have had a few clients here and there, usually short-last minute stays and one long (10 days) stay! I also have one repeat client that has me walk her dog 5 days a week, but that's about it! I'm looking for more consistency, and more clients, which I know can be hit or miss. I've completed Rover 101, and have had a background check done, but I'm wondering if the enhanced (35 dollar) background check is worth it? Do customers take it into consideration? Have you noticed a difference in bookings, or seen yourself come up higher in search results? Any input would be appreciated! Thank you! |
