answered a question | Someone used your promo code - No Funds? I'm not sure what promo code you are getting $10 for, (the give $20 get $20 promotion with a sitter other than yourself hired for the job...?) but if you actually know the person(s) you referred you can always ask them for the booking date(s) and then you will have some idea when to expect it. Stuff like this is never credited until the entire transaction has been completed and all i's are dotted and t's crossed. Good luck! :) |
answered a question | Do I change my availability for a potential boarding before the meet and greet? Rover automatically adjusts your availability based on pending/upcoming/unaccepted bookings. This is why the archiving feature is so helpful... so you can get rid of the ones that you know aren't going to happen and are just sitting there cluttering up your calendar & inbox for no reason. |
answered a question | Owner dropped off a dirty dog. Should I ask owner if I can bathe the dog? How do I phrase it nicely? How about "would you like me to give your dog a bath for you?" This is usually very effective, non-offensive, non-judgmental, just offering to help them out type of a thing- and will get you important information like their dog may be afraid to be bathed to the point that it is a liability, which is why they haven't done it themselves. Or they can only have a special $90 shampoo from the vet and they simply ran out of it (or etc) |
commented question | Implement tipping capabilities through the Rover.com Platform ?? Why would you willingly sacrifice 20% (or more) off the top of your hard earned tip money for Rover to take a cut? |
answered a question | Do the Client's Review get reviewed before they get published? They do not get reviewed before publication. HOWEVER, Rover has a "lovely" little feature that constantly causes confusion for people because it is completely counterintuitive. On the review form, there is a box that has to be unchecked in order to make the review visible to anyone besides Rover and the person who wrote it. The box is automatically checked to make the review "private" and you have to manually un-check it to fix the problem. That little checkbox STILL causes frustration for myself and some of my clients after something like 18 months of doing this. 😅 |
answered a question | I have a new rescue. He has poop accidents at night in crate. How can this be corrected? It really sounds like anxiety more than anything. Have you let him have any period of time to adjust to the new house and everything without being left alone in a cage in a strange place at night? Like a bonding/adjustment period of being part of a family now? Try letting him sleep in your bed and bonding with him for awhile; making him feel like he can trust you and his new environment. He has probably had a rough life and has every reason to feel insecure and afraid to be left alone/abandoned. If you're not able to find a way around the crate at night, at least for awhile, you can try CBD, lavender, giving him a thunder shirt made out of an old shirt of yours that you have worn for a couple days so it has your smell nice and strong throughout the material, etc etc. Anything to reduce his stress and anxiety. Even moving the crate next to your bed can help. I'm not sure how this was so easily overlooked, either, but it's very possible and often the case that the crate that you have him in is actually bigger than he needs. Crates are not kennels, they're not meant to be much bigger than the dog itself (especially during training) and not meant to be used to keep them in for extended periods of time. If he has room to poo and not be standing or laying in it, (or he is clever enough to back up against the wire and poo OUTSIDE the crate) he has no reason not to. If you're not already, feed him in the crate. The old saying about not pooping where you eat is pretty literal in the animal world. If all else fails, you can always bring these kinds of issues up to your vet and see what they think. Best of luck to the both of you, and congratulations on adopting one another! ❤❤ |
