commented answer | Why I still get NEW customer requests, when I should only get REPEAT customers? This answer my questions. Thanks!!!!!! |
asked a question | Why I still get NEW customer requests, when I should only get REPEAT customers? I flipped the switch to receive only repeat customer request on Rover through the calendar page, yet I am still receiving new customer requests. Is there a way to only have current customers book a stay? I'm assuming the new customers found my Rover link via business card or through Craigslist or through a different customer... |
answered a question | Not trying to sound cheap...but why do we have to pay to have a check sent to us if Rover is already taking out the cost of using them with each booking? Overhead costs & time spent to cut checks can be a headache. PayPal is pretty easy to setup & if you want to buy something online, just use the money already in your account from Rover to pay for your item with PayPal! PayPal does have a limit of depositing only $500 into your bank account a month, unless you verify more personal information to take more out each month. Transferring money from Rover to PayPal is unlimited! |
commented answer | I'm scared to tell a dog owner, I no longer wish to sit their dog incase she reviews me badly. How do I tell her politely no? I too had a puppy that was beyond two handfuls. If the owners ever tried to rebook, I'd use a statement like this! Excellent explanation Amber! |

answered a question | Do sitters use the rover veterinarian? I've never had to consult a vet during a dog's stay, but I too, had a client purchase the extra service for her two toy poodles. |
answered a question | Why did I get paid less than I was supposed to? 15% Rover Fee. Wouldn't it be nice if pet owners tipped through Rover to help make up for the 15% fee? :) UBER has a tip system for their drivers... |
answered a question | What are resources to figure out what is the best dog for me? I agree with Katia, on watching dogs through Rover. My husband wasn't a big fan of watching several types of dogs in our house, but he's come around and it's helped us in deciding which type of personalities we're interested in. Must love playing ball. Must love other dogs, men, & children. The breed of dog isn't something we're interested in. You can also try going to the animal shelters. When you see THE DOG, you know instantly :) |

answered a question | Craigslist ad CONSTANTLY flagged? I too have had my ad flagged. Just keep posting & hopefully whoever is flagging, gives up. You can even try doing your own ad without the Rover template & see if that will help you stay present. I know it can be frustrating... Best of luck! |

asked a question | Rover ad on Craigslist keeps getting flagged? I live in the Tampa Bay area & I know there is a lot of competition for dog sitting, so I post my Rover ad on Craigslist. Problem: Someone keeps "flagging" my posting, so Craigslist removes the posting. Has anyone else had any problems with this? Is there any way to keep this from happening? My solution thus far, keep tabs on it every couple days & just keep posting! Any other recommendations? Thanks! |
