rover reel for 5 photos uploaded

I have not found information on what a rover reel is, can someone explain this to me?

Hi Amee,

A Rover Reel is a video created after your stay ends that is a slideshow of the stay photos you've sent through Rover. In order to receive it, you have to send at least 5 photos during the stay. It's a fun little video that both the sitter and owner receive. Here is an example of a Rover Reel from my last stay:

Thank you! I have more than 5 photos uploaded. How do I access the reel? It says it is sent to the owner. Is it sent to me as well?

Yes. You get one too. It's a cute way to let the pup parent know what their pet is doing. How they are interacting with other pets on the premises. Shows you are attentive to their pet. So easy via iPhone!

After your stay ends, the Rover Reel is emailed to you and the dog owner. It can take anywhere from a day, to a week to receive it because Rover manually creates them. If you don't receive it within a week you can send customer support a message.

A few years later but I just got mine for the first time I think. My main complaint is that they use photos from the chat conversation and not the Rover cards, where most pictures are shared. I attach them there, I don't mass message thr client; only 1-2. And like someone said, these are automated and could include pictures of something unrelated, like where keys are left after leaving, about payment, or something that got damaged (dog chewed on something for example).

The way you can fix this is if you send a picture message of something other than their pet, Individually select to Hide(function) for each of those before or when the booking is complete.

I highly doubt Rover "manually" makes these reels. The latest one Rover made for me, included screenshots of my conversation with the owner discussing my different rates. Not 1 photo of the dog was included. It was highly unprofessional. If these are in fact manually made then the person should be reviewed / removed from their position. Policies + procedures should be reviewed regarding these Reels.

They are auto-generated - and mostly crap. If you use a 3rd party app like Canva you can make your own
