How do you get in touch with another sitter?

Want to meet with other sitters in my area. Looking to find another sitter/walker who I can send my owners to when I'm overbooked. The only way I can figure to to actually book my own dog to reach them.

Comments

This comes from owners who trust me to suggest another sitter.

Yes. The only way currently is what you've done -send a request to book your own. It seems like this would be a good enhancement request.

Hi Janice - I had the same issue and did exactly what you suggest: Set up a booking for my dog. Over the past summer I contacted 3-4 different sitters - most were excited to exchange info and one sitter not so much. Recently I reached out to a sitter in my neighborhood and we are splitting a stay for a dog during the holidays - I'm doing one week and she is doing the next. It's a win-win for us, the dog and the pet parents due to our schedules. I've sent requests to Rover a couple times for a way to contact but it hasn't happened yet. There is also the Rover.com Sitters Social Network on Facebook but so far no one is my area (Va Beach) is on there. Good luck!
